I'm against it, if your leg breaks you fix it, not cut it off.
For the record, I'm not officially in this discussion yet... But! If your legs cause harm to the rest of your body or has an unavoidable potential to, you slice it off; you are better off without it.
(Hope I got your metaphor right)
I believe you should study the leg, take care of it and learn about its illness so you can prevent it in other peopke
There isn't just one infected leg here..there are thousands..and thousands undiscovered. We are trusting a couple of bandages to contain them. Bandages are not at all the ideal way to isolate such dangerous amounts of infected legs. Sure...amputation is the easy way out; no argument there. So why struggle instead for the time- and resource-consuming way?
Amputation is the best way.
I do agree on one thing though. Our diagnosis process is not at all perfect; there is too much room for mistakes. Therefore, maybe..just maybe...the world may need to hold off on amputations...
Other than that...these arguments that infected legs can be cured or treated with bandages are utter Bullcrap! Some legs are just too infected and they prefer the infection over the cure. All they deserve is amputation.
Also...thinking of executions as killings is kind of curving the truth...just saying...
