Im 180+ and I use rapid with haste ring.-. Lixing every boss is not me thing._.

Yeah I got rs maxed, and I did the same as above. Some bosses I never lixed on, such as sv gold bosses, it wouldn't be gold worthy to use lixes in gold accuring runs hehe. Plus clearing adds before starting a boss is a good use of rapid shot. Also if a lixes runs out with a boss having health not too high. No use wasting a lix that will have like half or 2/3rds of it sorting out boss drop and then scouting for next kill.

Rapid is my Main SKILL
I max it with a +6 and a +4 ring
It lasts until half cooldown

My suggestion is to not rely solely on rapid shot but atleast 1-2 more skills that will do damage in a more short time and secure lock
Rapid shot is my backup skill, focusing on longshot and sharpshot while rapid-shot comes last to finish what these two skills started and then back to those two skills and so on >>
You'll do more damage this way rather than wait for the autos, remember, depend solely by rapid and you get killed right after you casted and you blew your whole start
You can use the rings slots for better things like regeneration, actual skills that damage and increase certain stats like vitality or dexterity

I use it with haste ring. The skill lasts a bit longer than half the cd. And in that time the haste ring is usefull

No haste ring effect is basically removed while rapid is active

Rapid shot speeds up shooting by 50% (same as a combo.. Because of this reason if you are a low level looking to level fast and hard using combos, I suggest not using rapid shot) and a haste ring is 30%... Unless you have a Necro bracelet or some insane, high number for ranged combat, a 50/40 rapid shot will last 30 seconds, give or take a few... It has a 1 min cooldown so you are 30 seconds without a haste of any sort... I would definitely recommend using a haste ring at all times unless you are battling for a boss and the lock will occur in less than 30 seconds.. Then in that scenario i would replace a haste ring with a hrung damage, Aggy damage, Garanak ring, or any sort or stat boosting ring.. After the lock i would put the haste back on though

Rapid 50/40 lasts 32 seconds and on top of that rapid with haste ring isn't as bad as many may think. In the time it takes for rapid to cd the haste ring comes in handy. Plus the 30 str from ring makes it somewhat worth it. I love rapid, but that's just my opinion.
