The statement made saying that no other clans have been successful in killing the necro post-engine was subliminally directed towards Pride, seeing as we are the only other clan on Taranis that does raid bosses. With that being said, calling us unsuccessful before we attempted on the new engine was a misconstrued statement and did not need to be said in a congratulatory post.

I never saw any of that posted anywhere on this topic, care to quote it for me? No statement such as that was made. I saw a clan for its first time killing necro and thats a great achievement... to bring such childish hatred towards this topic eludes me

On January 3rd, 2015, clan Aeon of Taranis successfully killed Necro.

We had a ~55 person turnup, and the planning and strategy had been already well drilled into the clannies.. so we were all prepared, the kill started only 20 minutes after scheduled, and we had almost no last-minute planning. Kudos to the gens for their extensive pre-kill planning.

The kill itself was very smooth.. and as it was our first necro kill we were very surprised with how easy it was: hardly anyone died throughout, we killed in 18 minutes, and there were seemingly no major issues.

We plan to kill regularly, as the rival clans on the server have been unsuccessful so far.

So.. Necro is still possible without sinking loads of plat.

Hey all, first of all this I am one of the Generals of Aeon. Would like to say I'm very proud of everyone who took part into bringing the beast down.

To give you guys who wants some context behind the history of this 'rivalry'. Aeon was merger between pillars and illuminati.(the clans that the individual was slating). These clans were working together prior and we were tiny in comparison to pride who were 2-3 bigger. As you all probably noticed, activity levels dropped off towards the end of 2014(maybe earlier for some server) and we took this leap of faith and came out together in one piece.

Despite the 50+ numbers i believe those were the only the online people so this doesn't exclude the under levelled toons who were busy somewhere else. with the real number im guessing somewhere between 40-45. It was amazing when we saw that many people online and it was just the motivation we needed to harness a successful encounter. It was our first kill and granted it wasn't the best but we were just proud that we killed him after months of planning. I personally recall someone from the rival clan posting on forums that they killed necro and bragged about how they were the only one who can kill it and I personally didn't bat an eye. I personally love the "some people have life outside the game" comment as one could say it's the completely opposite way around. Oh and the 'skill' part? Lol I guess you can buy anything nowadays.

Despite what you have had seen in the comments, not all of their members are douchebags. It's just select individual that has so much frustration and goes through their time of the month as they live by the argument of "who has the biggest d**k". Just to feed their bottomless ego. Majority of them are nice and easy to get along with players, some of which are my closest and oldest friends in game.

So to conclude, some may not see it as a feat but to us it has set up a milestone and boosted the clan morale overall so I'm happy. Thank you all for the congratulations and may your future raid bosses be successful and worthwhile!

If I could throw in my two cents without causing much of a stir, the cause of all this drama comes down to one sentence in the original post stating that the rival clans have been unsuccessful so far. As the rival clans consist of Pride and Equilibrium, it's fair to say that comment was aimed at Pride. It's true that up until our recent kill that we had not killed since the update, but we also didn't attempt to kill. For us to be unsuccessful wouldn't we have had to attempt the kill post update? We have also killed him numerous times pre update, so any way you look at it, that was a false statement with the intent to say Aeon is the only clan from Taranis with a successful kill. Also, in the post about Pride's first Necro kill, I did not see a single mention of Pride being the only clan able to kill, or bragging of any sort. There may have been another post I'm unaware of, but I could not find one. Nonetheless, it is a great feat taking down Necro and I congratulate Aeon on their first kill!

...and they killed necro without one of their highest leveled rogues (level 200 ) who had been at every previous necro kill...He played on an iPod 4th gen so obviously he couldn't make it. Congrats pride.

Yea really Armo, Taranis is never really talked about... Just Gwydion this and Crom that, throw in a lil Morrigan....... Oh well, appearently Taranis is just the Super-Server... Would be fun ........ Think from what I've seen, I would side with Aeon hehe.... COME ON OTM, GIVE US SERVER TRANSFERS
