Re: Formal world transfer system: pros, cons, and thoughts

I don't see it, but if someone who wants to keep prices inflated on their world wouldn't they make every excuse to keep server transfers from happening. My observations see this from those who have opposed this from the earliest debates. Like it or not I have been apart of this forum for a long time. I continuously see the same people oppose, and it is for self betterment not for the progress of the game.

Maybe, but we don't sell stuff so my objections to world transfers of raid items has nothing to do with price inflation.

However your mention of binding raid gear to worlds seems like you'd like to keep your lock on world domination.

I also said the same thing with mounts and fashion items. They will lose their rarity if more are injected in a server. Whilst I dont have any myself, im sure those with unique items such as prize mounts, or darkflame or othe rare fashion would be very unhappy their items lost value. Its not as simple as it sounds, and thats just one reason why OTM hasnt implemented server transfers.

Yes,but we all know the main problem is that you don't want anyone outside of Avalon in Morrigan with decent gear.

Unfortunately, OTM aren't here to cater to Avalon's desires, but more rather the other 99% of the player's needs.

If that is true, then they would have implemented server transfer by now don't you think? BoE is still around, drops are still tiered and crap and camping is still the name of the game. Avalon's desires...lol, sounds like an excuse to me.

Gear doesn't make a clan anyway. A clan can kill Mordris without Mordris items. But a server doesn't and shouldn't mature overnight anyway. What would Android servers say if iOS users can now login their servers and OTM allowed transfers and clans migrate over to Balor, Fingal, etc.? All of a sudden, a server who can't kill Hrung and Mordris, now have clans farming them as soon as they spawn. What kind of world disturbance would migrating fully itemized characters cause?

Is it me or did you just imply that because server transfers don't exist OTM caters to "Avalon's desires"...

Server transfers being implemented or not, has nothing to do with my clan. Avalon doesn't have the power to control what OTM does to their game, otherwise our requested changes would've been implemented a long time ago.
