To be clear Criminal, assuming you're somewhat referring to me since I was in quote promoting percent based idols, I DID NOT support original idol nerf because they clearly don't work and anyone who says they does most likely has not used them extensively at various levels or without other plat items. I however DO believe percent based idols are the best because there should be some sort of penalty to dying other than the death penalty which only happens with consecutive deaths and doesn't happen much with old idols. Percent based also allow idols to essentially be balanced between ALL levels because it's based off of your own stats. Currently on our world we have minor competition and my opinion on idols is not related or efected by that competition anyway. I also already responded to the original response about competition, it's a 2 way street so both sides would need more vit in builds or simply a better group.
However I am aware others probably are in favor of idol nerf and don't want percentage based or even a very high percentage base because it would effect their competition. Imo I believe 40% rate would be best but like Wulver mentioned they are going to have to test it a lot and see what works. 40% could be perfect, it could be waaaay too much or it could be not nearly enough, it's just a good starting point imo
No Im not saying u supported idol nerf, neither did I because I said it doesnt fit the current mechanics, but since they're nerfed to 'balance', percentage is the only way to be balanced as it relies on the amount of health/energy u have.
