Re: Howling winds build 1-50

Hi,

I just tried this with my alt druid, and found that it worked pretty well. However a different build was far better:

Howling Wind works fine at higher levels, however at lower levels a full dps build was far quicker and more effective: this is what I did.

I placed enough points in vit to stay alive, and everything else in strength. Using a Bear Totem and a Golden Axe of Carnage, I effectively plowed through mobs effortlessly. For skills, I only had Sheild of
Bark, Nature's Embrace, Double Attack, and I kept Nature's Touch at level 1 (level 1 skills are uninteruptable).

For gear, I used the standard quest items until level 40, where I used a Greater Solstice set, however any armor would have worked. I used Heroic Boots and Gloves, Heroic Ammy of Rejuv, and no other gear. Event braces (Natures Touch, as they boost defence) would have been a large help!

I highly recomend this build, as it was the best low level druid build I have ever used.

Is this a typo or can druids use double attack also? If they can that would be awesome it would mean those big damage but mega slow weapons like askold staff would come useful :)

Dont go hw build at that low level :) you will not be able to max any of dmg skills and neithwr the hw will be effective since the mobs at that low lv deal absolutley no damage

All classes can use double attack, however I believe OTM made a typo by giving the rings class requirements.

Howling wind is great at higher lvls (130+) but for lower lvls it does not affect the mob's attack by much.
Yep. I found hw really useful for boggans since they deal alot damage (also warbeasts) with 30/30 hw and 150 dext they rarely land their hit

Yeah I just tried this earlier, I had no idea they could and I been thinking for ages would it be a neat idea of they could lol. I'm pretty bummed that it can't be used with only a offhand cuz I think I might prefer the faster attack speed. Druids weapons are pretty slow, I've not found one faster than 3000 yet
