Dicing order on mord drops

#1
Hey all,

I have the great possibility to join in on mord fights and roll for his drops, i only noticed a few thing while the drops were being distributed.

I see we start with the brace that mord drops wich is usually class req and I don't see a lot people pass on this so drop usually ends up in the right class to the person that rolls highest.
After that the rings show up (also class req), sometimes these are great and everyone wants them, and sometimes they aren't that good (sadly:( ), but I have seen a lot pass on these cuz they want to win the helm/spear/book, sometimes even everyone passes on these cuz the helm/spear/book is so awesome!
And off there is the helm/spear/book that drops, wich usually everyone wants to win. (Never saw a pass on this in my 3 more fights :D )

So I was wondering why don't we change the dicing order? (Idk if this has been mentioned before, I just think it will be better for everyone)
My suggestion for the dicing order is to start with the most wanted drop (wich in this case are the helms/spears/books)
Followed by the brace and closed with the rings.

(I have seen rings go to diff class players cud all passed, and the person who won this probably will never use it or be able to sell it cuz no one even wanted to roll for it in the first place)

I'd be happy to see comments/suggestions on this.

We always do class drops first, generally in descending order of how good they are. Brace first, +8 before +7 ring, etc.

Part of the reason is to reduce the number of people who can roll for multi-class or all-class item. The basic concept is you can have your improved odds of getting a drop (in your class), or you can pass for a fairly low chance at getting the all-class drops. players have to make a choice. The people most likely to pass on the class drops are those who probably already have it (or it is lousy drop) and want to go for the all-class drop.

We have been using this method since the days of aggy. I personally am very happy with it and it works pretty well, i think. Not sure we would want to change rules that took a lot of people a lot of time to finalize - but if lots of people really want to change the rule, then they will reply to the post and we can go from there.

thanks
