Re: Is This It for leveling

I guess my experience is different from everyone else's. I am the father of a large family thus I can't level as fast as most of the people who play this game. I gain maybe two levels per week and help out on boss calls when I can. I am part of a clan that has a bunch of awesome people in it that are willing to tolerate someone who advances as slow as me. My wife and three of my children play the game as well, which makes it all that more fun to play because we can help each other out with quests and such.

I started playing this game last summer and already I have seen great improvements. As stupid as it sounds, I look forward to each new event because I like to change up how my toon looks and some of the seasonal quest are quit fun. The graphical update that came with the destiny engine is exactly what it needed so it didn't look like a game from the Nintendo DS era. I am looking forward to all the horizontal content that is rumored to be coming for the simple reason that leveling can be quit boring and it will be nice to have other things to do. I've always been a fan of games like Skyrim or the Fallout series. The bonus to those games was all the extra content. If you just followed the story the game would be over in 15 - 20 hours, but you had all this cool stuff to do on the side like making weapons and armor better or doing something for some random person you run into. If they can accomplish stuff like this, this game will last for a long time and bring in many new players. Especially those who only have the money for a phone or tablet to use as a gaming device.

Ok so now that the update has come and after watching for a couple days there have been those who are powering through the levels like crazy. I think soft cap is 220, correct me if im wrong. But from now will this be the final endgame cap, because if each update is just gonna add 20-30 levels to the cap im gonna quit. Not eveyone has time to grind 2.5-3hrsfor each level. So OTM i would like to know if this grind is finally over, because i can guarantee people will quit.
Accept that the lv cap will keep going higher, i remember thinking the otherworld would be the end. But it's not all bad cause think about it, would you rather be still camping the same bosses for a year or would you like some new areas to explore every now and then?
I'd rather have good content.
