Re: Hermeneutic of Generosity

well, as far as bosses go, perhaps you can consider this thread as a new cooperation between Ancients and Alliance. if other clans do not wish to participate and take those bosses on their own, then that is their prerogative. But please recognize that it is our prerogative, as officers of our clans, to create 'rules' and standards of conduct that apply to our clannies.

I actually agree, to some extent, with what vulture says - but this is about creating a level of good-will and cooperation between 2 clans so as to make the game more enjoyable for many people. Most (not all) of the people i interact with much prefer the cooperative version of lugh vs. the competitive.

So, feel free to ignore some of the specifics of the post (or all of it) if you are not part of Ancients or Alliance. If you are a member of one of these clans, you should take your issue up with me or Axon, as we, with input from our clans, are the ones who started hammering out these things. it is a work in progress.

thank you

What happens if another clan becomes large and capable of killing a large number of bosses? Do they get labelled a threat to the good-will of Lugh and forced to be put on this shout all bosses punishment?

Any boss I go to there's a majority of Alliance there. If I swing by a spawn zone there's Alliance there. If I get called to a boss it's from Alliance. I rarely see Ancients camping a boss and sometimes not even killing one. So what good is this shout all bosses agreement if Ancients won't be participating? Yeah it'll make the game better for people, just limited to the amount of people in your clan.

Akbar i certainly appreciate the effort you are putting in on this. However, this alliance and ancients special rule for boss shouting is not exactly what we discussed.

I told you i would talk to my clan and gague how they feel about shouting bosses as a server rule to be voted on. But we have yet to compare any feedback we recieced other than whats in this forum thread.

We have been doing a good job waiting for people who are on there way to the boss and not starting until all people in route have arrived.

I think that that is a reasonable expectaion for all players not just our two clans.

If someone says "so and so" is on the way please wait, it is perfectly reasonable to expect people to wait for them to arrive.

But the mandatory shout on sight rule for 2 clans only is not a fair expecation in my opinion.

Any additional feedback would be appreciated

I Agree with what vulture said. I could even Apply this shout for bosses thing, but Then i expect an agreement which goes beyond the simple shout for bosses: let's be sincere ak, the shout for bosses is a request that ancients made, since Your clan will be the one who will benefit the most from this agreement. People still cuss at Us at every single boss, calling Us scum etc, how are we suppose to call people who treat Us that way? If an agreement has to be made, then it must be an agreement that deals with every single aspect of the issue, like stop the harassment. Also, people claiming for inclusive server and for sharing everything, but i don't see, for instance, the Tank spot being shared. What's the Point on an agreement which is good for one side only? An agreement is good only when Both side feel not totally Happy about it, which would not be this case. Thanks for your effort in trying to solve this issue Tho, i appreciate it.

Cecil, u are correct, it wasn't voted on. Many of ur clannies I've been lvling with seemed to expect it, so I just assumed... My bad.

The shout thing was an idea that seemed to get poitive reception. If we decide against it, fine.

We are trying other things ppl suggested, like rotating tanks. Afaic, the fact that we are trying things to work better together, that is the important thing.

As for another clan getting powerful, it happens often. Each time we work something out. It is always different. Right now the goal is to reduce the animosity between ancients and alliance.

Thx
