So what do you end game rangers think about the new Occult armour?
Do you think that a more dex based build would now be viable given this new gear?
Occult Gloves with +500 Longshot damage
Occult Legguards with +600 Sharp Shot
Occult Cuirass with +425 LS and 475 Sharpshot
Spiderweb Longshot ring (2) lvl 170+ with +513 LS damage
Added damage:
Longshot 1951
Sharpshot 1075 (possibly more with Hrung helm)
Auto damage would go down with the loss of DL gloves/leggings/cuirass, but would the added skill damage make up for it?
And with these new lux quivers supposedly coming out as well...

#2Imo the added skill damage would not make up for the damage loss. 1000 sharpshot damage is actually like 200-350 on leveling mobs/bosses. Longshot would be like 750-1000

#5I can tell you some i guess.
Dex is at 1250
I can hit a same lvl 1s with SS anywhere from 2300-3900. Averaging about 3.3k (same lvl 1*)

#6how?!?!? :0 I've gotten a max of 1-1.1k dex at one point with 50/40 sharp and hits did like 1.5k damage on average for me.

Daledo, what is your auto attack base damage in your profile say, and how much are you hitting for auto hits with that much dex?

#9That sounds fun for non chaos mobs. But what do you do when you switch to dl for the tower bosses? Do you just wear the occult anyways? The chaos resist and divine dmg will likely be better for that situation but switching the armour at the fight may not make it as helpful. I've tried all kinds of builds that include sharp/long/ even tried barbed. I've kind of lost all hope for dex based skills and style of play. I look forward to hearing of your results though!

#10Auto attacks suck but I usually do not auto.
Im running with sharp long explosive, heal camo and bolas.
That way i can solo kite around the tower wo adds. Bola and run if u need to sigil or regroup.
Base dmg gets lower as you remove dl. About 1400 dmg on screen. Like i said i usually dont auto much unless im hasted. I did sharpshot a 1s. Mage today for 4001
. This build is more about fun factor and is a huge energy sink.
