Garados are sick but im sick of magikarps ineffective splash

Fish should be for bounty rewards and some fish fetching a pretty penny at the fishmart vendor while other fish u need to cook and they become consumables(like lixs rarer fish being like x10 exp for 5-10mins etc) Definatly should be a rareness scale with ultra rare fish selling for LOADS we should also be able to fish bits and pieces thrown into the water like someone threw hunter cloths in awhile ago and u fish out some black hunter gloves or someting(very very very rare chance of getting fash) mermaid skins etc etc there is so much you can do with the fishing and I am so excited and just can't wait to see where OTM takes it

Fishing will be the gathering component of Cooking which will be our first crafting profession as well as a way of making a bit more gold outside of combat.
Wait. So we'll have an entirely useless fishing skill with no function besides preparing to drop it all on the cooking release? Why not just release both at the same time..?

This post kind of disappointed on a few levels... Like you mentioned, yet another content released that will not be totally complete, what good is fishing if you intend for them to be cooked but don't release cooking??? Sure you can sell them for money or keep them but it just seems like adding more incomplete content. Not to mention the part about "cooking will be our first crafting profession"... I want ACTUAL crafting, cooking and crafting are separate things :|

I have no idea, maybe they'll have fish with special properties, such as a wise carp which could work like an elixer? Or maybe some larger ones that can be used in crafting, like a marlin spear? I have no idea.
