It's called damage fluctuation. Any skill can hit for 50%-100% of its listed damage, but I don't believe hitting for 100% has the same chance as hitting 50%.

Besides dmg, theres fluctuation of 50%-100% when theres 0 resistance. Once theres a mob with resistance, the max dmg and min dmg both go lower, so it could be (making up numbers) 40%-90% on mobs with resisted. When I thought about buying this ammy or not I wanted it for 2 things :

1. I wanted for change an instant casting skill for my warrior.
2. I knew it'll be extremely OP for alts, even if I use it on a mage with assassins lure, or rogue with all his instants already.

This ammy is rather OP, and if I had replacement for Garanak Id buy it, but it still is OP.

The level 150 lux amulet of annihilation introduced in Update 4 which is properly tuned to the mobs in Carrowmore has 120 dmg.
Let's say, that on average it's damage is 60, given all the dmg fluction and resists. To equal the damage of 1.5k (as you say), takes 25 autos with 100% hit rate. Now we know that hit rate typically hovers around 55%-65%, so let's say 60% on average, it would take you roughly 42 autos to get 1.5k from the old amulet.

In the meantime, all this damage from the amulet is front-loaded and instant. To say it's not OP is because you just have no experience with the end-game.

A free 1.5k dmg. This amulet is quite op.

For 1.5 mill ill not call anything thats not instant death blow op. (Might just be upset my gf made me buy her one though, lol)

Compare this INSTANT casting skill to any other available ammy as a sole item (not as a set), then comment with which ammy is better.

It has 150 str 150 dex 1000 hp translated as 600hp (100 stats)+400 hp which in addition to a 200hp from your current hp makes another 600 hp (100 again)
So in total 500 stats. With best regen an ammy can have
Does your sneaky hit listed dmg? No. Quickstrike? Not a chance. Rend? Yea right. Isn't that cheating u as well? Even after all these stats boost and regen it gives you a FREE dmg skill. So yes it is OP.
