My opinions: Dicing is evil, but it can't hurt you unless you fall for it. If you are to dice think how you'd be affected by a loss before you gamble. If you gamble your money and lose, don't blame anyone but yourself.

And for selling a mordy spear. Im from lugh so i dont have the same viewpoint but ill explain it my way. The word "our" bothers me. I know the logic of clan dominated worlds is that the items are the clans possession. But think about this, why should anyone work for something they can't call theirs? The logic may be its the clan's item, but the players in the clan worked and helped in the boss fight, they deserve a right to own something. People should be thought of individually and not as a group, let people do what they wish for the items they worked for.
