Many games combine the rogue and ranger class; for example OaC. Would doing this make the game play for them any better in CH?Rogues have the most straightforward two dimensional gameplay and rangers are not a tonne better.
Re: If You Could Take 1 Class Out of the Game
#63Probably yes. But not if they did it in a way that there were skill trees. For instance, the new class would need a bow equipped to use any ranger skills, and a dagger to use any rogue skills. This is all just theoretical though because this will never happeni think if they did it the class would be to OP

Re: If You Could Take 1 Class Out of the Game
#64ooo I would do that@party the suggestion made earlier in the thread was wipe all rangers and rogues and allow them to switch to a mage druid or warrior of the same level and ability with comparable gear.

Re: If You Could Take 1 Class Out of the Game
#65That would be really neat, bow for long range and daggers for melee
Re: If You Could Take 1 Class Out of the Game
#66yeah but could you eqip both and do half and half like you could in OaC
Re: If You Could Take 1 Class Out of the Game
#67You can combine ranger and rogue in OaC through the skill tree, but it will end up as a mediocre class. Many games combine the rogue and ranger class; for example OaC. Even in OaC people go full rogue or full ranger, a complete skill tree is better than 2 with points scattered throughout.
OTM can do a world of good to their ranger players by implementing new skills, reason why most rangers are auto are because of incompetent dex ones. This should also stop the growing rogue population as more will shift towards rangers.

#68A game I always bring up, Neverwinter. There u have a Trickster Rogue, which came out before the Hunter Ranger. They're very similar there, one has casual stealth (rogue) and one has different stealth with dmg bonus (ranger), ranger uses bow, but also switched to dual daggers like rogue (Thus why hes also a hunter, his daggers look different too) and he becomes a rough melee class but not as much as rogue (assassination and skills that rogue has that deals tons of dmg), but overall they're balanced classes there, on dps and survivability, very similar just different ways of expressing their dps (one is mostly attacking and stealthing, stronger and faster attacks and also ranged throwable knives, while the ranger is stronger on range but is rather fast on his melee, stealthy and deals heavy dmg at lower speed), even in PvP there, the rogue is one that attacks and stealths, escapes if needed, good for teaming, while the ranger goes from afar or above, stealths and has great skills for escaping and a bit more of a lone wolf (but if hes covered by others he can shoot his heavy hits freely).
Overall in most MMORPG's rogues and rangers are mostly the same, on dps and survivability, both have very similar abilities, the whole difference between them is speed and dmg, and different ways of fighting (stealth vs run/range), while rogue is faster and ranger is stronger.
In CH, unlike other mmorpgs, rogue is both stronger and faster and has no stealth whatsoever, rogue is like some kind of an ultimate soldier, until tower update, where mages will kick their asses.

Custom classes available. Ever tried a tank-dps combo?
(As owner i merged all 20combonations into an op class called a one man army, and i solo the endgame boss at level 5)
