Hello Arawn,

I am very intrigued by the decision for the two top clans (and major rivals) to merge, and am curious how it has affected your enjoyment of the game.

Do you guys still have any competition, or has Arawn basically become a one-endgame-clan world?

I am curious about this because I have always had a personal theory that the game would be much less enjoyable without a viable clan rival providing competition.
To me, getting top gear from raid bosses is more rewarding knowing we will be able to use that gear against our rivals.
Because of this, I have never wished for my rival clans to die, because I always want there to be healthy rivalry and competition. If the rivals ever disappeared, I fear people would go inactive more frequently because the game just wouldn't be as interesting and fun.

Anyway, I thought I would bounce these thoughts off you guys, considering the recent major merger.

Congratulations on pulling that off, by the way. That's a pretty amazing feat.

Nothing has really changed as there was and still is only one true eg clan on arawn. There is still comp at dl with badabing at sreng and troll. Bada did kill one hrung with the help of three smaller clans ( alliance,sap,abc) but now res camps it and hasn't lost one since. No other clans besides res before or after the merge wasn't even close to killing mord or necro and that won't change for a while. So actually to sum it up nothing much changed in arawn except the fact that now 40+ more people get to enjoy the endgame experiance and the tower all the way to unox so far with gelebron in our sights when he is released.

Well krill they lost any smaller Edl competition that tey had due to the merge so yes as he said only competition is at sreng and troll but he claims it doesn't hurt the enjoyment but he cannot speak for everyone I've talked to many resurgence members and it seems many enjoy the game less just from losing the small amount of extra competition there was from blaze.

Wait I forgot something perhaps there's competition within the clan itself I hear res people tell me they are mad about old blaze players in res not lvling and getting Edl soon etc and I see their point I notice 90% of the ex blaze don't level but no one cares even though I find it's hard to kill Edl on a floor oh can't get to so there's yet another reason people inside May be unhappy and I left as this merge happened because I dint want to be miserable but in reality I feel there's now a bit of competition inside but it's not fun for them they are unhappy so there's your answer in a brief explanation krill I hope you see this and understand that it does bore people it does make them mad so the turnout isn't all sunshine you may consider this if your servers clan is considering that kind of merge

We went from before merge having two smaller clan compete with us at dl. To now having one compete at dl. Our eg and edl hasn't been nor will be competed.

You had some competition at onyx and maybe skate idr

The biggest competition is smellyunder competing to use the toilet at necro raid when all my coworkers rushing to the single cubicle to play at work so they don't lose dkp.

In the past Lego, I remember some, now no of course

Bella and alts may be very good at locking troll and sreng but they cant outlock Res on even onyx4 and onyx adds will be all over them and kill them. Only when SAP clan was active they were taking some EDL spawns (5 stars at most and the lesser ones) but now they almost disappeared. Alliance probably can kill some 4 star PH but didnt see them camping actively. So, not much competition for EDL. but competition for Troll and sreng remains keen but only with Badabing who camps with same few mains and alts. For endgame, absolutely no competition accept for aggy which we don't camp actively anymore. The only change with the merger is we have one less clan to compete with for dl bosses and in longer term, we have eliminated the competition with Blaze for edl spawns.
