Re: Fashion question to OTM

Because if there weren't rankings on the fashion people would only be concerned with how the fashion looked.
With the rarity on the fashion, it inherently pushes people, especially the competative ones or collectors, to strive to get the highest rarity and consequently more chests are sold. It's purely a business decision.
so tell me why is red always the most common? Because the fashion designer at OTM dislikes red?

being concerned about how fashion looks.....lol. isn't that what fashion is supposed to be about?
Well if you remember back to a time before rarity in the description the color order was very similar. They simply added rarity to the description with a few order changes. Obviously order is a subjective decision, I think you're smart enough to know that.

Concern about how it looks is obviously what it's supposed to be about, again, you're posing questions we all know the answers to. What you seem to not like or are not understanding are OTM's business practices. They take common, proven sales concepts and apply those to the game, and they do it very successfully. If you're wanting them to take those concepts out, well, you will be disappointed. OTM like any other company needs to make money.

So essentially you're implying that OTM believes that every player likes White and makes it the most rare so it's something that would be of high value worth for players to keep buying chests for to get them? Slightly absurd, don't you think?

I understand the rarity concept, but color favoritism is different for every person.

There are two types of people in this world: Those who crave closure

A business is more profitable if they don't gouge and piss off customers.

I see Turquoise more common than Red... I myself prefer Red over any other color (got all fashion sets red 2013-2015)

Fashion rarity allows us to creates value for certain colours, and is a well established MMO trope. The colour choices for rarity were set from some of the early event fashion quests and transferred over to mystery chest fashion when they were introduced. We've kept rarity the same so that it's easier to understand, though that's not to say that we'll never change it. We're planning an easier way to identify rarity on items that will hopefully make it in along with Crafting.

Idk about u all but Im wearing green suit, green gloves, green party hat and green frostguard gloves. That way I save on fashion and I look like a sexy laywer in a boring party.

It would be nice if all the fashion were the same shade of color. I like to mix it up but the colors don't always match. Like my turquoise lugh mask is more like the turquoise stone and the fashion is more teal.

Although the wyldwood red legs are like a perfect match for the sunlit red top with the gold trim and all being the same color. :)

This isn't the first game that favors a colour over another. I posted below 2 current games which I'm playing, that mention colours in their loading screens. I kinda like the diversity. and the contrast is a little ironic
