Should I use it to solo on my fire mage?
Note only extras go into it

I would suggest not too use it. But some more information would be better, for example:
-what level is your mage?
-what gear does your mage use?
-how high are your defensive abilities
-what are the other skills you do use?

As for now i would say: use leftover points either in ice shards, eshield or another lure in case you find someone to group level with.

Im a level almost 20 but am looking for a good build before I start combining.
Still looking for better skills, no one selling, so atm just ones gained by beginner quests. I have high foc tho

I would say the same, its kinda ok if you use to cloak a tank during a boss if yours support mage though.

Flame cloack could be good for a farming build at a higher level when taking on multiple targets like pirates etc.

I not only used fire cloak till level 100 or so, but always maxed it first when my skills max would increase. I think at the time, I had around 250 sigils in energy so I didn't need to put a lot of points into boost, so maybe that was a factor, but I an a huge proponent of fire cloak till around level 100. I also didn't use any of the newer skills till after 100, I was a pure multiple lure, shards, bolt, and cloak build and didn't have many issues under level 100. I maxed cloak first, bolt second, shards third generally speaking, always kept lures at half.

Armo, no I don't use it anymore. But I found it very useful at the OPs level up to lvl 100. I turned to pure ice after that because I finally got attune and blast, and I had been accumulating ice rings the whole time. I think fire cloak is way under rated for early levels, it really helps inflicting damage without the chance off evades. I wish it was worthwhile to still use.
