Social media is open to all. Disagreeing with anothers opinion will happen, How we handle that is up to each individual.
We must learn from history. Silencing anothers opinion because you disagree with it, is totally wrong. To discount another because you feel that they do not play as often as you dictate, or that they are from another server or any other myraid of reasons created, is nothing more than bullying.
This is a PUBLIC forum.
I may not agree with what another says or the way the act, however, I will defend their right to thier opinion.
When I was a child, I acted like a child. There comes a time in all of our lives that we put away those childish things and start living, and socializing in the world.
Ideally, we should all treat each other with dignity and respect, sadly, that is not always the case.
You may not like my opinion, or that I do not play anymore as I used too. But you will not deter me from posting it.
Truth is not afraid of being scrutinized by others.

Randall, ive played with you over a few years, ive seen that you are indeed a fairly bright person, but what im saying is why do we count other servers and inactive players opinions on OUR servers rules and votes. Their opinions are welcome provided they dont cause drama. But these people are posting without knowing the background of our world or even the background of our situation. This is not a true representation of our world.

We're not against you posting but we're against you posting without knowing our situation. Ive seen level 50s post good posts and ive seen level 200s post completely useless comments, but ive seen most players from other worlds cause drama or vote without proving their identity.

if you want to have an impact on something perhaps you should get involved rather than writing in theory

As to counting the "vote" of people deemed "irrelevant" that depends on who is doing the counting. I have read the recent post on a banning vote, if any "irrelevant" votes were counted, it did not sway the outcome.

In most nations, there is a set person that sits and listens to the evidence (this person not being present at said incident) and based on what is presented, renders a judgement, based on what is presented. If people who have all of the "facts" remain silent it does make things abit more difficult.

We cant give all the facts on forums due to the forum rules hence anyone outside server is out of the loop. Also it depends on which side you listen to. Facts on social media are opinionated.

Yes, opinionated to the poster to be sure, that is why discussion is so very vital. There always seems to be those three sides of the story.
Words can hurt, or heal - depends on the person use of them.
Having someone from another server/or a player that doesn't log post their opinion is a good thing, as far as "counting" thier vote (if they vote) is another.
In my own personal experiences, I value the opinion of others, it is how I grow.
Lugh has many people from many countries, different customs/languages etc. - the common bond is playing and collectively meeting the challenges the game throws at us. I may not play now, but I still feel that bond. Lugh had an Esprit de Corps that was a joy to be part of, a common sense of inclusiveness, not exclusiveness.

As far as the subject on this post I find it frustrating when someone who only logs in to forums to cause drama and start fights posts to "state their opinion." As far as people from different servers honestly if they dont play on our server or havn't they are in the mindset of dom clan not open world; but yes all opinions have some valid points if they have knowledge of of what lugh is made of. I would love to see our rules updated to include new updates and areas and tweek some of the old rules, however am worried people that want to cause issues start on their path to destroy all hopes of growth. As far as other servers views they arent here to know how our world is.

Disagreement is fine as long as we keep it civil. You state your position, I will state mine. It is also fine to challenge the others position but personal attacks are unacceptable.

I think one of the main issues that cause drama is a rush to vote on a given topic before it is discussed by the community. I suggest we go back to having a discussion period prior to calling a vote. We may discover that an open discussion was sufficient and a vote is unnecessary.

I agree that casting votes for other should be reserved for extraordinary circumstances such as the recent forum outages.

I dont like the fact when we call a vote i see 15 people who havent logged on in months suddenly decide that they have the same say as everyone who currently plays the game, also players from other servers are welcome to discuss but i see their votes get counted too...

Also level requirement of certain content should be placed on votes. That way we dont have level 150s voting on edl drops, or level 20s voting on aggy drops...

Again i welcome discussion from other clans but i hate when i see their votes be counted.
