why don't rangers ever get kill anymore I

We got a lvl 222 ranger and he always gets the kills, so its really about your build, and im 180 and if i lix with a group i always get kills.

We have a ranger in lugh that out does every in one and currently killed our last 2 necros try have a look at your build and what you could do to increase your damage.

So just curious do rangers that get the kill on raid bosses have primarily str builds or dex builds? Or something else?

One reason you get the kill is not dying excessively and at necro rangers have a tendency to stand far off in a corner and auto semi afk.

Another thing is raid builds are typically not good for anything else but that specific boss in your own specific group. Good day to day builds where you aren't using alts and rebirths but simply some gear changes are another matter. Though rangers have less of a need to change up their stats and ability points as some other classes (druid, mage).

Str builds are the ones getting kills. Max sharpen, max steady aim, max light heal, 44 bolas, 43 double shot, rest in rapid fire. With dragon lord quiver buff and your self buffs up your dmg goes over 4k. Hit rapid fire and repeat.

In my opinion, many people who get the kill on a boss just aren't killing adds. As a druid, I love a good DPS class player that can keep adds from eating me!

You get kills easy by not doing adds or having a strong build, if its DEX, you must have the best sharpshot and longshot boosting gear, if its a STR build, you must have the best damage gear.

Also need to use haste and attack elixers.

Rangers never got kill on carrowmore bosses as bosses were unresistant to poison and rogues have an OP skill in shadowstrike. Once in tower SS did not hit as much due to high poison resistance on bosses so rangers have a chance of getting kills.

This also depends on the rogues you're competing with, if the rogues are real try hards - spamming skills, restos to use sneaky, etc, a ranger will not beat them at all.

Then again, I'm sure Gwydion is the worst place to be for ranger, we have awful drop rates for some of the best dps gear, best ranger necro gear has been a majestic ring and only 1 of those to ever drop. The best hrung brace to have attack came out to be an imperial and only one of those as well.
