His powers have been suppressed. The Morrigan is acting on his behalf I guess.
I never quite understood where the Morrigan fit into the story. It all seemed straightforward until v4 when they said, "Oh by the way, the Morrigan are the bad guys too. Here's their Chaos Aura!"
My questions are
  • Are they working for Crom?
  • Are they equals with him?
  • Are they allies with Crom?
  • Are they using his followers for their own benefit?
  • Who exactly are they?

It seems like Morrigan was the creator of that seed which changed Gelebron. I think Morrigan is allies with Crom based on the story, since Morrigan's children poisoned the Gods but not Crom.
Trying to do this from memory, but from what I read I think that the Morrigan were defeated a while back and that's why it was the children of the Morrigan that gave the poison to the Celtic gods. But I'm not sure if they were defeated or not to be honest.

It's also confusing to me because Crom is a god of chaos and sacrifice, and the Morrigan are gods of chaos and battle. It seems redundant since both feed off chaos. I seem to remember seeing that the Morrigan aren't specifically allied with Crom, and that they are using the chaos he creates to their own benefit? but I might be wrong about that.

And are the Morrigan a collection of gods, or is it one god?I guess I'm just really confused about who they actually are and what their goals are.

Hi Morigan is the evil force in the background, manipulating, influencing and providing some of her power where she wants, but not directly appearing herself. We have a goal to expand the main storyline much further so hopefully this will all become clearer going forwards.

The Phantom Menace! So Morigan is like Darth Sidious (master manipulator), and Crom is like Count Dooku (out in the world leading armies and busting heads)?

To be honest, when the Blackstone Cabal was added into the game I always hoped that they would be developed as an opposing force to the Wardens, sort of how the Jedi and the Sith are. They both have great powers, but one uses them for good and the other for evil. Two sides of the same coin.

About a year ago I posted a topic called "When will we be Wardens?". That dynamic was what I was kind of thinking about. The Wardens were almost annihilated by the Blackstones in their fight in the Otherworld. Because of that, they would be looking for new warriors to join their order and replenish their numbers for the fight against the Cabal.
