I found a starstone of the bowman defector in the shalemont river.
I like how these quest items can be traded!
This encourages high levels to interact with and put newbies to work, and gets newbies rewarded for helping the high levels.
I concur with placing the stones on easier opponents too.
I DO NOT like that these stones can be traded. It makes me furious. I have camped shale more than 20 hours in the last few days when I could have been leveling like others in Otherworld. I think it would be terribly unfair to allow the players who have so far shrugged off the ability quests to continue leveling at furious paces and simply buy the items, buy the abilities. This is I am sure not how it is supposed to be. No one should be able to buy their abilities or buy a completed quest.
Please just make the drops possible on more mobs and at higher rates and make the items NO TRADE. Later, by all means, adjust the drop frequency so that future players doing the quest have to work at it a bit, but it will not be so akin to hazing as it feels for us who get no xp and must just camp palceholders, defectors, and fourstar mobs (which are super rare in shale). If I was brand new and was doing the Shale quests, the statue quest would not be painful. It is miserable to the point of giving up for me though.
