We need the ability to disable all the different types of chat text not just the shouts. While in a boss fight i need to see communication not just white text. Please give us the opportunity disable all types of chat not just shouts.

Boss fights are difficult when many ppl spam whisper you (whether on accident, or on purpose), and the newer bosses spam cast skills so much that anything a clanmate tries to say scrolls immediately off the screen. Things like "his fire cloak is up" are kind of important to see, when 2-3 hits can kill you. Some classes don't have the luxury to click auto and scroll through chat, when they are working their tushes off casting skills constantly. Completely removing this cast spam might not be the best either, because when I am playing my Druid, I use the begin cast message to time my heals.

The ability to choose which text can be blocked would be great, as some fights are multi group (so you would need clan chat to communicate), or multi-clan, where speaking aloud is helpful.

idk if i should make anew topic for this, but we should also be able to turn off the skills writing from mobs/bosses and ourself/other ppl.
With a boss this would prevent us to search ages for a chat msg because of so many skill notices

I agree that it would be nice to turn off various chats depending on the circumstances.

It would also be nice if all related chats could be posted onto their own board, and then have a little 'cycle board' icon in the lower left hand corner. This way, all your group messages go onto one list, while clan, say, whispers and combat logs each have their own spot. Of course, for those times when you want to be able to see everything, you could keep it as is...
