Re: DPS Warriors

#12
I just picked up this game, so I'm not quite sure if there would be a need or not, but is it possible to be a dps and tank hybrid? Let me expand on this.

I have been considering making a warrior since I found out they can daul wield. Given that, I would love to dps more often than not as a warrior. However, if people ever need a tank, I would love to be able to throw on a shield and have at it. Is this a possibility?

Also, how important is dex? Does anyone miss often? Does it really help with avoiding attacks? It makes me curious if you could be a "dodge warrior" and tank that way.

aha, I have used a dex to vit ratio of 3:7 for a while and found it to be perfect for tanking. I restatted a couple days ago, and now i have it 1:3
That is for tanking...

What you can do, is put equal amounts of points into str and vit if you want to dps and become a secondary tank.

Elusive warriors are fun to play as, but are not the greatest. The build I came up with for it is 1:6:1 str/dex/vit. At my level (with no gear bonus), my stats would be 55str, 333ATK, 666DFS, and 348Hp

I want to restat for a while just to try it again, as I am a way higher level now.

Ah, cool. Thanks for the info. I'll look into it myself and see what I can come up with.

What I'm really wondering is if it's possible to be a "dodge tank", so to speak, and tank while daul wielding. Ofc, you'd still need a substantial amount of vit for when you do get hit, as from what I understand it, most vit tanks find that 3500 hp can be a little rough at times?

Unfortunately, even 170 dex is not enough to dodge consistantly. It definetly helps, but the dex only helps to get you fully healed again. You need the right balance between dex and vit. That leaves no room for strength. Good luck

What is DPS and tank?
LV.52 Warrior/Jones 12?Morrigan?CrystalDemons
DPS stands for damage per second. Generaly, a DPS build deals fast but moderate damage, or even heavy damage from slower attack speeds.
A tank is a build that is meant to take all the hits from a boss. Tanks have a ton of health, some with dexterity to dodge and block more often.

The update is now out, so any messages after this post will be associated with Update 3 builds. Thanks

hi everybody i was wondering are these good stats for a warrior (tank) 100,60,52,213
1. This isnt a tank thread
2. Thats a mixed build. Use less strength until your higher leveled. And if you have a heroic amulet, your focus is too high.
