If you use a super combo- it doesn't stack with super potion/lix but if I use heroic elixers they do stack with the super combo -am I wasting elixers or do I get the better bonus of 5x vs 4x's??

None of the lixes stack. The most you can get is x5 from a heroic combo/xp lix.

You can however use a better lix to override the lesser lix, so say you're using a super combo, if you use a heroic xp you will get the x5 from the heroic xp instead of the x4 xp from the super combo.

That is however a huge waste of gold, 14-16k a lix. I dont recommend doing that
