Each of the 5 statue quests gives you one of your 5 new abilities like willpower which helps you evade druid spells.

The stones are held by the defectors. You have to kill them for the drops. Problem is all the newbs are trying to get their defector quest so it is hard to do. ideally if you are a newbe should get the skill by the time you finish the defector quest.

and you probably would if you solo'd them all for the quest. It seems like you get one stone every 3 or so defector kills.

Nerfed Mage ~140
Why play a class where skills cost more than other classes for same damage?
Why play a class with no auto attack?
Why play a class with 1/3 the armor?
Why play a caster?

I already got 2 stones in one day. (starstone, nightstone)
I didn't ks or something, that was totally random, sorry.

When I see the boss I kill it and that's all.

Sounds like the mentality of a high level kser. A noob group healing and buffing ready to attack the defector and a high level just prances in, declines the group request, and takes the kill. That is the true kser in my opinion.

We have added special enemies in the next patch to drop these stones so hopefully that should help a lot.

Hopefully this will help the problem since seemingly there will be enough of these mobs to go around. One level 90 wouldn't be going around killing all of the defectors that low level people have labored killing the placeholders in order to get the defector to spawn.
