Need Stat Advice

#1
I group lvl with a support druid. The druid has my health and has entangle roots. The mobs can't get to me. And if I get jumped the druid can keep me alive. So I am running longshot 42/30 rapid shot 33/30 barbed shot 30/30 and sharp shot 35/30. I am happy with my en regen and don't care about HP regen.

Should I be favoring dex or str?

I posted this before on another thread. Sadly my post was made fun of and never legitimately answered so I am trying again.

Try to use strength. You want about 3-4K hp (should only need to put 320 in vit that's 2k hp) then rest into strength.
Stead aim max sharpen max bolas max double max rapid as much as possible. Do try having a bit of dex adding gear to increase the buff from steady and sharpen.

Why would he need 3-4k hp if he has a druid with him..? If anything, tell the druid to use abundance and go for 1k health.

Dump most of your points in strength and maybe keep 150-200 points in dex, and try to get pierce, or just normal damage adding gear (aggy rings, ect).

Thank you for taking the time to read. My post. Before answering

Right so for the skills I have chosen to use. As explained In OP. i need to be stacking STR? am a bit confused because apart from rapid shot the skills all say dex.

In the stat menu, the attack only goes up when I put a point in dex. But Str implies hit harder dex implies chance to land an attack and evade

The skills effectiveness becomes awful after around the 120 mark, where you could be using aggy damage rings as an alternative.

It is confusing that rangers have no strength skills, yet that is the path to most DPS, and many threads have been made to address this issue. However, OTM haven't made too many changes to help fix this issue.

I'd ditch barbed, not sure what level you are, but after 120 I'd change to an auto based build (high str, steady, sharpen, rapid - unless you haste to level in which case rapid is a waste) and buy adamant bow!! They're great!

But yes without knowing your level... Under 120 high Dex or equal Dex and Str... After that way more Str than Dex, if not full Str and no Dex.

Depends on play style and what u want...

I'm 124 and have adamant bow.

I never liked steady aim. I suppose I never gave it s chance. When I first got it my accuracy seemed to decrease having it on.

And your telling me sharpen weapons will hit harder than barbed? My barbed is doing about 250 a tick on top on my auto attack doing 450.

Dex build isn't worth it at ur lvl. Go str but leave a couple points in dex so you'll at least hit a bit often. Skills use sharpen steady dbl rapid and camo or entangle(since ur Druid can keep mobs afar from u
