Uhhm, my post was completely on topic. The OP asked if a mage could out DPS a melee class, and I provided an example of where someone did. The boss it was on is irrelevant. Sorry you didn't like it.

I'm with mamba on this one, it's quite likely that my 140 Mage could beat a 200+ rogue on chained... yet try any boss that's not from three updates ago and my Mage stinks

Hi fellow mages im just wondering if you can get a kill over a good dps class specially a hastin good rogues on bosses with high resistance specially on main bosses like hrungnir mordris and necro .. ik that it depends on diff bosses just wondering if a mage ever got a kill on this bosses

Sorry to hurt your feelings, I forgot chained king would be considered endgame for you. Op wanted to know about bosses with high enough resistances that you can't lure it down to 0 and hit full dmg on (aka hrung, mord, necro as he graciously already stated for you). But I am very happy for you on your chained king kill, I hope you can sell those drops for enough to buy sks and not be so low lvl

My mage has killed all boss mobs from dl up to edl including mordy hrung and necro. Even against some of the best rogues and Rangers we have in games it's pretty simple actually and yes I do adds as well while on my mage.

Lol, chained King is nowhere near end game, but thanks for your concern. As far as money for plat items, I have plenty of those too. Enough to get about 3 toons from 0-220, but thanks for your concern on that as well.

I also know mordris and hrung are different and that getting the kill on them is much harder.
Try telling me something I don't know.

Never seen a Mage outdps a melee dps class on hrung, Mord or Necro. Gwydion doesn't exactly have the top class mages so that might be the problem, but a few are getting there.
