Proteus base is the 6*. I don't think there is a placeholder 5* seeing as it's a raid boss.

If proteus base is the easier version then why does he take 50-60 mins to kill with 30+ toons? Well for one there shouldn't be a placeholder boss at all.. When has player feedback ever supported that idea.
The harder version must take 2 hours for a whopping 3 drops..
How and why was the boss ever released in its current
state? Its clear that it was put in game with either zero testing or it was known to be way op. We had an open beta, which should have been a perfect opportunity to assess and balance these bosses properly.

It was the 6* version and it was extremely hard, took 4 Druids all with 2 maxed wards each. Compared to necro, I would say on the hard scale Necro is a 5 1/2 and 6* Proteus is a 9. If Gele is anything near that I'm afraid to even attempt.
