Yes, i know rangers AND Druids are the worst classes for pvp BUT im wondering which would be better at defeating a warrior. Warriors are melee dmg only therefore they will need to be slowed. So for a ranger it would be bolas and for druid it would be roots and run tactic basically. Warriors tend to have high resists to pierce dmg which is why im wondering if a druid would be better with Swarm vines etc.

First, I will say no class can beat a properly geared warrior with good tactic. But if you would like to choose another class I will help.

Ranger or druid, for warriors. It matters mainly what level we are talking about. Because they switch at certain points.

I'd say druid 1-19, and 100+

I'd say ranger 20-99

At lv 20 you got the wk bow, at lv 35 you got Ymir, at lv 60 you got obsidian. However the effectiveness of the ranger falls as the levels go up vs a warrior.

Druids have a early start 1-19, because they got the no lv req rings for swarm, and can just kite the warrior. At lv 100 you can use the freeze mount(night flyer preferred), to freeze to get just enough time to cast your dots before they tick, to get enough time to run. I would not use points on roots, the mount freeze would work fine and waste no points.

Why not create a Mage and wreck the battlefield?

Why not create a Mage and wreck the battlefield?

I like to do a little pvp, and mage is pretty effective, as it is the only class that comes close to beating me or very rarely beat me(depends on the build Im using though). I agree, make a mage if you want to pvp.

Mages can totally destroy in pvp but I very much like a Druid and believe they are so underrated in pvp.

Obviously gear, the player's knowledge, level etc come into play but at base level, mages and warriors are the strongest pvp class

A warrior with good knowledge and gear is better then say a rogue with good knowledge and gear. Warriors are just better suited for pvp, so if they have the same gear and knowledge the warrior will win.

I pvp a lot, now and in the past I did too. I've tried all the classes, but I prefer warriors over the other classes.

I will give an example of one of my pvp alts, my favorite one. He's a lv 60 warrior, and can kill up to lv 120 warriors and 150 non warriors dependent on their gear/tactic. A good build will go far in pvp.

Here is some pictures of his gear(I use a spear and a hammer) and stats(while buffed with pro stance and a 70 str axe), I don't have a good kite, working on getting one, but flights can be canceled if another one is used on you, so not a big deal.

If u duel lvl 60 noobs who dont understand pvp its no wonder. A lvl 60 druid, mage and rogue can beat that warrior with proper strategy, and Im sure a ranger too. Its mostly matter of gear.
A ranger can go with spear and shield, using entangle to drastically drop ur attack speed, use double attack, bolas u, and move to bow.
