Re: Class balance

The fact that our clan has over 30 green crowns in the bank speaks for itself when comparing Druids to other classes, maybe if you added more fricken dmg to Druids we would have more cause they can actually level
Give us some!!! Currently we have 3 druids in line waiting for their dl weapons xd

I think in terms of classes playing the same (leveling rate / suitability) is not necessarily the goal, as Dem0n said in his post all classes have a role and excel in certain ways.

But in class balance terms we are more looking at creating an enjoyable experience in leveling each class and will try to make changes to improve that experience within Celtic Heroes.

Leveling rate/suitability of a druid and it being an enjoyable experience are nowhere in the ballpark. Not every druid can afford to alt every time they actually have a group to level with and then alt back to get their DPS skills for doing dailies. Sure, every class has it's "role", but in most every game, the healer class has decent enough skills that they can solo on their own without relying on others and still level/skill up at a decent pace to where it's not painstakingly boring and dull.

Shamans and Clerics in EverQuest could still solo/get XP quite well, Monks in OaC have two paths, straight up DPS or healers (and still have enough damage to solo quests)

And for Dem0n's remark on druids using less lix than others...They use more XP lix which are one of the more expensive lixes, or Combos which are 8-9k a pop. Druids rely on spell damage 95% of the time, so when a spell misses, your mob lasts longer. A ranger/warrior/rogue has hard hitting melee damage, spells are just a bonus to help kill quicker. Rogues can gather multiple mobs and rip them apart with a plethora of skills and a Riposte that can do massive damage.

A rogue can heal itself, and have high survivability through Fast Reflexes and Life Steal while still doing really good damage killing faster than druids. Druids get interrupted a LOT. Melee classes can invest in Str/Dex and be just fine. In order for a druid to have less interrupts, they need either Defense gear or dex, which makes skill points and gear selection even more critical.

When a rogue misses a Shadowstrike, oh darn, you just missed out on a 1500-3k hit, but you're still autoing at an 1100 speed hitting for 400+ each time until SS recasts whereas a druid misses Vines, and has autos of 50-100 points (depending on weapons if full caster build) until Vines recasts.

Druids aren't asking for that class to all of the sudden become an ungodly OP class, what they're looking for is the ability to actually solo at a decent pace and have it be enjoyable. Try playing a druid, having a 2k heal, and not being able to cast it because even being hit by a level 5 dog in Lirs interrupts your cast.

Better recast times, quicker cast times and less energy consumption are a start to making that class more enjoyable. It feels like it takes ages for Storm Touch to recast and Vines to cast.

No you didn't, no need to lie dude. The level cap is 240 so there is no way you got a mage to 250 lol what a liar

I always see something like 'Druids have support and other classes don't' well I'd like some genius to tell me... What the... Is bolas, entangle, light heal, sharpen weapons, Mage lures, sacrifice, energy well, poison weapon, fast reflexes, expose weakness, smoke bomb, and a full tank warrior. With reflexes and ls, rogues can stay alive easily, rangers have bolas and are ranged, mages increase damage a hell a lot with lures, and bosses such as this events 210/6s require sacrifice and energy well. (Adds tank). If Druids are the 'only' class with good support skills, what does that make all of those skills I listed? Roids? DPS skills? Druids aren't the only class with support skills. Druids have the heal type of support, while other classes have their support in different ways. So seriously, wth.

tbh the complaints are a bit excessive. Druid was my first high level main, back in carrow update. Reached 190 faster than most warriors, rangers, and mages in terms of bars/lix. Definitely much cheaper too.

Yeah dps can be an issue, but if you're choosing to dps that's your choice to focus on an aspect of the class that is meant to be a weaker point. Do you see a lot of rogues complaining that they can't hold agro when they try to tank mordris? Or mages complaining their bandage isn't high enough to solo heal for proteus? Druids are made for healing, support, etc. They can dps too but it is very reasonable that their dps is worse than that of other classes.

Another bonus is the cost- both while leveling and after reaching endgame. Armor lix add what, 2-300 armor for rogues? Bark can add 4x more. Howling wind has the same effect as a def lix on steroids. Nature touch adds 2-6 pots worth of hp. If you're a pure caster you never have to use haste or attack lix either. Idk what prices are like on your world, but the extra attack, haste, hp, def, armor lix that a rogue uses makes lixing over 2x the price of a xp+e+travel that druids use. Not including the pot spam. A ranger or rogue uses haste and attack on every boss. Often hp+e as well. With sigils a druid uses no plat endgame. Is that not worth something?

^But on the other hand, a druid would use around twice the amount of xps, and personally I know u have used a lot of xps on Lep. The problem is that xps are far more expensive, I use combos and it covers everything, and a druid will use xp, eng, travel I assume, but will use twice the amount, while I dont need to use idols (depending on where u solo really), mostly because when I pot its usually for energy and not hp.

Another thing that breaks the pot/idols point... Sigils. Druid with sigils will not save on all the dps he cant have, but a rogue with sigils can lvl freely without using pots or idols at all. The issue in this game is that paying can cover all ur survivability issues, but never the dps issues (and that we rely on paying in the first place).

It is not balance if druid heals and deals very little dmg when lvling, if a rogue can deal much more dps and cover the heal with sigils.

Btw, rogue has Life Steal (poison dmg and heal) and Fast Reflexes (same effect as wind Id say, as well as defence is much more effective than armour when taking hits directly). so instead of using 10 vit 4k hp full on dps build, go with a balanced build and u wont need all that pots and idols, u (and myself as well) dont use these 'cheap' builds because u know that the expense will come in the loss of xp gained and the time u lose that could be better invested in farming back the gold u wasted.
