+1 you think this is bad? You should go see taranis's topics lmao, their top clans pretty much enforce rules that they expect everyone to follow xD but that's something to be discussed here.

The reason clans do this is because a majority of the seasoned players in these clans have determined that some set of boundaries need to exist, even in their virtual world. People in the real world aren't allowed to just run around doing whatever they want. Whether a world is real or virtual doesn't change the concept. There's nothing wrong with expecting people to display some manners and common courtesy. If they fail to, then those clans simply exercise their right to refuse to play with that person. Are you saying that the rude player has all the rights but the clans have no right to their own code of conduct?

I agree that any player has the right to KS a lix or be a rude, immature idiot. I will grant you that this is their right. By the same token, clans have the right to refuse them membership. Eventually, they will get tired of killing the dog in lirs reach and quit.

It's your decision to use an elixir and doing so doesn't grant you any special privileges or favors. The other player(s) have as much right to play as you, and using an elixir doesn't change a thing. I would give you the finger and a swift kick up the backside as well.

On topic. I usually leave the guy lixing at Bloodgroves be; I only ask him/her not to use Falgren's PH to lix since this would block the spawn. This really ticks me off lol. If the guy doesn't care, I'll go to one of his clan officers and ask him.

I'm glad we all pretty much get along. We don't have strict rules either. Our main rule is not to sell drops obtained by the clan. We also appreciate some degree of courtesy. That's really about it. We left our drama days behind us.

I'm sorry but it's true, I've seen and even participated in the arguments over on the taranis threads, the arguments get so heated up and is quite entertaining to read

Grow up. This isn't Sesame Street. If players and guilds want to behave like children so be it, but there are consequences for such behavior. Take Taranis for example, the population has declined dramatically due to guilds believing they can "police" others. Other guilds have been created that are anti-childish behavior. Blacklisting is a two-way street. Either learn to play with others or deal with the outcome. Using an elixir is fine, but don't expect anybody else to alter their gameplay because of your decision.

You have the freedom to ruin other people's ability lixes but they also have the freedom to respond however they like.

The OP is not "crying" he is simply stating how he deals with disrespectful players, in this case barring them from getting DL. Actions have consequences. That's a rather civil consequence; I teach low levels who have no sense of lixing courtesy by "exercising my freedom" to kill everything in their leveling area. After a few minutes of no exp they understand.

Most people have common sense though, I haven't had to do that often.
