It's wrong to dismiss other's issues and concerns with the ignorant belief that yours may be greater, and therefore should be the only ones addressed.

Mages have an issue with their animations which prevents casting skills in quick succession without delay, same goes for other classes and part of it can come down to bad connection. It'd be great if people realized their problem is also common with others' and they came together rather than argued for which is more important. That's how progress is made.

Losing a skill as a mage is like losing an auto for ranger, both have them as their source of dps. U dont need to say its not even close to be 'as big a deal' just because u think otherwise.

No... mages don't use auto attack which the animation could replace so the animation of fire bolt doesn't have an effect on your DPS since you can cast another skill while it's still animating.

Im not a mage and I find it horrible how inferior they are to others atm, I think mage is a glass cannon which doesnt happen here.

No... mages don't use auto attack which the animation could replace so the animation of fire bolt doesn't have an effect on your DPS since you can cast another skill while it's still animating.

The next skill doesn't start to cast instantly, therefore it has an animation delay

Wait til you're trying to outdps groups with prot attack braces, necro rings, dg armor, and edl weps (none of which substantially increase mage dps btw). Enjoy these next few months before every melee dps gets their offhand and you're still somewhat relevant dps

A few weeks ago:

I agree mages need a bit of a buff to compete with higher dps class like rangers and rogues.. this post was mainly to see how many mages were lucky that the top dps player at kill disconnected lol . Otherwise I don't see a mage legit getting the kill on any raid boss. Edls aren't raid. They're just quest bosses. But bosses like mord, hrung, necro etc are raid.. at this point. The only reason I still play mage is the cool animations in casting ice
