Yes when I say melee I mean an auto attack. For example, Pummel's animation is very quick, I can continue using my auto attacks as soon as it impacts unlike most animations, same for Quick Strike. Mobs are perhaps different, but other than Proteus all mobs work like players, using same skills and mostly same damage types. Life steal on necro is the same (was originally poison dmg too) but changed to AoE and now cold damage. Dragon Fire = Incinerate, Rotor Blades = Sweeping Blow with the added effect.
Overall boss mechanics are far superior to the players', casting multiple skills fast and at once while maintaining high auto damage even if its a caster boss (bladewing, gelebron, necro, somewhat the dragons), having heals almost all the time (skain, necro, hrungrir, proteus, necro from spirits too, gele from crystals, aggy from dragoncults and mordris from priestess), while Protues is the special one, casting his freeze with no alert or interval between skills. Try doing Proteus when ur about to run from his rotor blades when hes enraged and he freezes u as soon as u try to run, while his rotor is being casted. Try to Bash him Muldar to stop his repairs when he freezes u during bash and casts repairs a second after. Also why do crystals heal not just once, but multiple times every 5 secs from their first heal? Priestess doesnt do that, nor do dragoncults, hrung heals every 30 secs and has few secs casting time, this event's boss also heals in a long interval between each heal.
