Dont confuse the two. Selling intellectual/digital property is prohibited by Apple and also by OTM. But banning an account simply because its been shared is an OTM policy, because their support team dont want to deal with ticket requests regarding stolen items.

It is hard to distinguish between a sold account and a shared account.. During an investigation, the parties could say they share the account, and lie about the monetary transfers. It is easier to ban it all together and not worry about it.

Honestly almost every world is shareing accounts and selling accounts just go in rhia almost every snorri toon is shared and tons of people in the top clan buyed accounts. It should be a ban all together.

Depends on server as far as cost go. White and black can go for up to 3 mil or more on some servers. And then there's the subjective value of items. Some items which are junk to some are priceless to others. And then there's the availability - if I loan an item and don't get it back, is there another on the server that can be bought.

I sold a radiant earthstone set for 400k. Apparently on some servers that set would go for millions. On my server it's pretty cheap.

They band my acc for no reason and will not reply to my emails, I've spent over $2000 for them to take my money and my acc

It's more valuable than most lux equipment, so that makes no sense. If anything you should lend out your lux but not raid gear if your issue is how valuable the gear is.

Also the only time I've been scammed is when someone swapped xp lixes for ability lixes back in the day. Never had an item not returned by a clanny.

I mean in the sense that an entire clan helped me get hrung and proteus items. If I'm going on vacation or going to be out of game for a bit, I don't mind letting another druid use them as it benefits the clan. Now that's completely different in my mind than when I went out and specifically dropped 200 on plat to sell chests to buy the 2 mil yellow wings.

Now I suppose the argument could be made that I bought plat to get lix to level up and others did the same in order to kill the bosses that drop these items. Then one could make the argument that these boss drops are indeed financially more expensive than lux.

Your stuff is your stuff, do what you want.

Just personally I feel good lending stuff to clannies when they could use them, and it just makes being in the clan that much more enjoyable. Each to their own.

Selling or trading accounts on morrigan is a horrible idea. You will never be accepted into a good clan and why would you want to use someone else's work? I take pride in the fact that I built my account from the ground up and it has history only I know and appreciate.

I never understood the account sharing policy.

Hundreds of people across all the servers and end game clans do it every day, and there are never any consequences. On the other hand there are people who do it and get reported by somebody who doesn't like them, as the case stated in op, and they get banned straight away. This selective banning really isn't acceptable. You can't ban somebody simply over the basis of them being reported over others, who commit the exact same acts, but go unreported and unpunished.

The reasoning behind the no account sharing rule is so OTM does not receive an influx of support tickets having to deal with it. What I don't get is, if this is the reasoning, why not just leave it as discouraged? If people want to share their toons, who cares, let them. But if they get scammed it's their own problem and their own fault. OTM should have no part to play in account sharing, be it banning people for doing it or helping people who were scammed. Warn people of the dangers of doing it and that's all, stay out of whatever people choose to do after that.

If you have clan members who share their toons in secret and don't tell anyone in the clan that it isn't them playing, they really aren't good clan members. Does this actually happen? I have never heard of or seen any case where somebody other than the original owner playing an account would go unnoticed for more than a day.
