Analogies as long as appropriate to the topic are fine. I don't think anyone is getting " so upset" other than thinking they wouldn't have had to spend as much time and money as others when leveling. I've even said it's a good thing as it will get more people to proteus and gelebron faster.Hate it when people use analogies for this stuff. There is always something different, but anyway.Well I'm not 220 yet but am 4 lvls short of 2 toons hitting 220. I don't think it's selfish to feel a bit offended when you spend X amount of time and money on hitting 220 and then the developers turn around and say it'll now take less xp per lvl to lvl.Yall are so selfish. You are already 220, why do you care if other people have to do the exact same thing you did? Its not like they are going to make it 1 lix per level all the way up to 220. Think about all the positives this brings. Servers will become lively again as itll be easier to level and new players will stick around.
It'd be like spending a year working and saving up for a new car and then a week later, they lower the cost on the car by 20-40%. You realize now it would have only taken you half the time. Would you say "hey great for all those people!!!" Or would you say "well damn I just spent all that time working for that car and now they lower the price...that sucks.". One of those is apparently a selfish reply according to you
There is nothing wrong with removing a little bit of the grind so that the game is more attractive to incoming not as hardcore gamers. If you hate it that much, yell at them for having it easy. I cant believe some people are getting so upset at something that can actually bring this game back to what it used to be.
It's the same as if you bought a wyld ammy for 1.5 mil and then the next day they lowered the price to 1 mil. I doubt you'd be saying "I'm so happy for all those players that didn't have to spend as much as me.
Everything has a pro and con. The pro to this is it gets more players to the final bosses. The con to this is it kind of throws a middle finger to the players that spent a lot of time and money leveling to 220.
What will be funny is if the xp curve is meant to equal classes so that all can lvl at the same right. This would mean druids and Rangers would get a huge benefit and rogues, mages, and warriors wouldn't.
