Shield of Bark vs Natures Embrace & Lighting vs Storm Touch

Fellow Druids, I need some direction

Shield of Bark vs Natures Embrace

Which is better, more armour or more healing? Currently my lv 20 bark gives 233 additional armour while lv 16 embraces is 74 per tick. Every additional skill point gives about 10 to 12 more armour on bark and 4 hp on embrace. I did an experinement yesterday. With bark on, dmg received (to me) is abt 75. Without bark on, dmg received is abt 140. So it seems that every 1 armour provides abt 0.3 hp reduction?? Oh, please note i am asking for solo lv purposes. If its for boss fights, it would obviously be Natures Embrace

Lighting Strike vs Storm Touch

I know there has been a post about this already and i kind of concur with the general public. Storm Touch kind of sucks. I can cast about 2 lighting strikes, 1 nature touch and a few physical wacks during its cooling period. But does it really suck that bad? My lv 16 Storm touch deals the same damage as my lv 23 lighting strike. Thats 7 skill points differences. It also reminds me of fire bolt vs ice shands. Most mages still use ice shands despite the long loading time. Yes, they have lure of ice but they also have lure of fire so if you think in dps wise, shouldnt all mages go fire built and dump ice built due to ice shand's huge cooling period?

Personally I prefer embrace to bark, simply because it always heals the same regardless of mob being fought, where as damage dealt can go up or down.
Saying that I will always have a few points in bark as a little extra buff.
Also, while fighting higher level mobs, trying to recast bark, it tends to get interrupted easier than embrace would be, and with time spent trying to get it cast you waste valuable hitting time.
Having tried the opposite, bark up high and embrace low which works for some, I found in the end I liked the embrace road more.
As you said you wanted suggestions for the soloing side of the game, this is whats working for me in regards embrace vs bark. I can take down level 110 2 star tress and kelpies with my current set up and the odd 3 star if I get lucky.

Just a note on grouping for bosses though, while armor is important, most bosses are hitting so hard the extra buff is really not that good imo. Now if you add a good embrace to a warrior with 30 a tick rejuv, they would be healing close to 100-110, which is not to shabby at all and much more valuable than the extra shielding.

On the lightning vs storms touch, I am slowly coming around to the idea of looking at the two skills like this, lightning is to druids as pummel is to warriors, and, storms touch would be our giant swing (It makes more sense to me like this:) Both are valuable and I suggest getting a decent level to both, although I was one of the people to say whats the point of splitting skill points for similar skills, storms touch has saved my bacon a few times!!Once you throw a few points into it and have a decent focus level, it's a pretty good skill.

As always, personal preference is the key, and I hope a few from the flip side of the coin reply to give you a rounded viewpoint!

I guess as your level changes, and abilities increase, game style and habits will have to change and adapt to current needs, so as of now this is for a level 103 close to 104 druid, primarily a group healer, but one that can handle himself should the need arise:)
