Hey OTM, I've just got like two questions. Why is account sharing prohibited? And does it count if the two participants are blood related and the sharing was for just a couple hours?

These questions are from a friend... he got banned for sharing the account for a couple hours with his cousin. The cousin told a player who really tries to enforce policy for you guys which isn't bad, but he reported him immediately and yeah... Thank you in advance.

Btw if anyone's wondering, an appeal was set out. It stated that there wasn't any harmful account sharing but idk it may be harmful I guess.

It's just that sometimes people share accounts and then real owner gets locked out of his account because the person he shares has taken over his account. And then OTM has a hard choice to take since both know info to the account, so they have to decide who is the real one. And it's just a lot of trouble to deal with.

I was once did something as you I gave my bro info to accounts and was banned, but since I never knew about that support decides to give new benefit of not knowing the rule, it's not that big of a deal if you had no idea about the rule. Just tell it to the Support

Also it's weekend, unless Muldar gets on during his off work times, don't expect a responds from an official support member till Monday

I did know about the rule but since he was my cousin, I just figured well what can go wrong, it's not like he can hack me or anything since we have a healthy relationship. But eh he told the wrong dude and got in trouble for it. I'll just wait for their response, thanks again.

also not a good idea to initially say it was your friends account and then after say its your own

I was only joking pigman. Hison got it and referred to me in his reply. I also assume anything said on forums won't affect my appeal, I was just looking for an explanation.

Short reason is because it causes issues in the Support process and reduces the security on your account.

If your cousin, brother, dog trades off all your items or significantly damages your account in some way Support will be unable to assist.

Maintaining your account and items is your responsibility as we are unable to return traded or lost items that appear as being conducted by you

Alright I understand this. Is there any way to revoke it however? There wasn't any damage done and I feel like it you guys were to get a complain about this then you should treat it as a scam because it's the users own fault. Like you guys can't do about it and we understand that, idk just a suggestion because I'd like my account back haha

I fully understand it's my fault and if that part of the terms is a solid then I'll understand that as well, can't change what has happened.
