I'm just curious, will a dl sword with its proc provide better dps against bosses such as dl or raid, or is my dark halbred (dex/heat dmg) better

*note* both abilities are maxed and I have a mighty necro spear ring (+600 spear 60 vit/dex)

Spear because of the ring but see if you can get a str instead dex.

a halberd will be better because of the common pierce lure, but if you have a slash lure active then the procs will outdps a halberd. Lots of different factors on different bosses that make certain equips better than others

If lash lure is your only reason to use a sword...use an axe as the rupture will be better dps and more consistent than the random process chance imo

Unfortunately for those of us outside of alliance, we are very limited when it comes to gear, I'm using the clan banks only halbred which is dex so yeaaa. I don't have the dl sword yet because we are missing 2 red crowns.

Not gonna argue with your opinion but don't underestimate procs on hasted DL/EDL weapons

I was hoping that you all would say the sword would be better for bosses because A. I love using swords which is why in every game I play I choose a warrior, and B. The dl/edl swords look badass (I also liked the adamant sword cause of the effect). Hoping OTM will add a sword specific skill in the future

Then use a sword. It's a game so use the gear you enjoy more. Whether you use sword or spear, I'd def hotbar hammer for rupture

Use a sword if u wish, u got the answer from the ppl. Im not a fan of dl/edl swords due the low physical dmg and the fact halberd adds str (if its str one), ability (attack and dmg) and added elemental dmg. What gives dl sword an edge over dark spear is procs so it may be better, like edl sword is probably better than shadow spear, but I have void so Im using that.
