This makes no sense whatsoever, how is it a security issue or even a privacy issue if it was YOUR mail? You typed in a name by accident and want to know what you typed.
This sounds like a piss-poor answer to something OTM can't be bothered to do.
Thank you for the feedback - however please refrain from insulting me in the future.
This is not a 'piss-poor' answer to something that we can't be 'bothered' to do.
We cannot give out the information of actions/events of accounts that do not belong to you because these actions/events can be later used to identity that account.
This includes whom they've traded an item onto that has been given to them from someone else - as - when an item leaves your account - the item becomes theirs and therefore they have the privacy rights of knowing they can then trade that item on without another player asking to whom it went to. This differs with bank accounts for clans due to their already vulnerable status.
In the future if you do not like the way in which I have tried to explain why we act in the manner that we do then please PM me with the feedback. I attempt to explain things on forms as clearly and plainly as possible to keep players from breaking any rules that they may not have know about and to inform them to supports decisions.
I realize that mistakes can be made - which is why we have a confirm button on the mail before it is sent. We are unable to pull mail back once it has been sent due to the manner in which the system is programmed.
These are not excuses - these are facts.
Thank you.
- p.s - I am aware that there is plenty of ways in which this system can be made better and we are always looking into ways to both improve the support system and to make it more transparent to players. Hopefully my explanations for actions taken ect have helped players to understand things a little easier.
