Is there ever a point where OTM will step in when one clan rules?

#1
I was just wondering about this. What would it take before OTM took action in server politics? I had this thought after chatting with some folks. On my server, everyone I have spoken with agrees that a single clan owns most all dl end edl boss spawns. Another clan locks and defeats about three quarters of all frozen bosses. Things have been like this for dl/edl for about 2 weeks and maybe a month for the frozen armor bosses. Perhaps I'm wrong about those proportions and it is just me. But I still wonder, would OTM ever step in if one clan consistently seemed to dominate some quest bosses, shutting out all other clans? What would that take? Has it ever happened before?
How many hats?

I don't think it ever happen and it will probably never happen. Reason : They aren't breaking any ToS.
These kind of politics should be run by players only, otherway it would be wayy too unfair. OTM would give advantage to some players, wich isnt suppose to happen
I mean they probably worked hard to get this position, you guys will need to work harder in order to beat them , it's how mmos have always worked. (or team up with them)

my thought tho ;D good luck with your politics problems !!

Unless there's some kind of continual harassment, OTM won't do a thing.

Part of this type of game is creating a player base on each world with its own unique characteristics and style of play. Some worlds thrive on competition of multiple clans, some thrive on single dominant clans, some are a everybody who pulls their weight can participate type world.

Each style has its own pros and cons. The player base of that world helps dictate what type of world it is/will be. One of the downsides of a server going from a type of collaborative effort to a dominant clan can have pros and cons. I came from Lugh, where some members are seeing the result of what happens when a collaborative becomes domination. Many older, established players either quit, or transferred servers. This resulted in it being even easier to maintain dominance. This also resulted in more people transferring to other worlds to escape clan dominance which in return has left one clan with all of the bosses. Great for those that enjoy that type of play style. Not great for those who lost friends or those who enjoy competition. I've been told that after so long, dominance isn't as peachy as it seemed at the start. Many don't even chat with their own clan mates. They simply log for the boss, then log back off.

OTM never stepped into this world of clan issues as the ToS was never an issue. It all depends on why you play the game, and what you want from it. I've personally moved from Herne (clan Dom issues) the start of my CH career, to Lugh (at that point a collaborative server) , now to Epona, the last remaining collaborative server. It fits my play style best. I can't log for ever boss, so I don't want my ability to be geared and enjoy the game based off of DKP or similar systems solely on the fact that I'm busy in real life.

In the end, as long as you're playing by the rules, OTM can do nothing, nor will they do anything. If the player base destroys their own server, that's on the players, not OTM.

I'm pretty sure the bosses requiring lots of players to kill, no instances, and the clans as they are set up in game are actually encouraging a few to single clan dominance. So why would they step in when this was the intent from the beginning?
