Celtic Heroes

Just thought I would throw myself in here and ask about the current status of the game. Considering giving OTM another shot now that it's nearing Christmas and Bitey is bringing out new videos of the beta testing.

So how is it? Any improvement?

I wanted to add that although when I quit I was frustrated, Celtic Heroes was never objectively a "bad game". It held my attention. It had me grinding until 3am. Hell, it had me dumping hundreds. I can rant all I want about how the loot sucks, how the leveling is slow, etc. but as said before, those are all objective. Each player has his/her own goal. Most players goals in any MMORPG is simply to reach he level cap and grind away for gear. But that's the issue with Celtic Heroes for me at least, they have you grinding for gear AND levels at the same time.
I think the best possible fix for this would be to add level specific items for every five levels you earn x amount of plat, x item of gear, x amount of elixers, x amount of restoes, or x amount of idols. Again, it was never a bad game. I can complain about all the little things, but these are all objective and experienced by other players, and through calm conversation, a suitable relationship between developer and gamer can be sustained.

I hope I can bring something positive to Celtic Heroes instead of just negativity this time.

Hey buddy. No offence intended, but I just wanted to point out that 'objective' means being purely based on unbiased facts, without being influenced by opinions. So when you said CH isnt objectively a bad game, that was the proper use, but all your uses after that you probably mean subjective, meaning based on the opinion and experience of the subject (player).

CH still has a lot of grind. On Mabon it seems plat items are harder to find, perhaps due to higher demand, less interest in recent chests, or maybe overall less people being interested in spending money on a game.

I don't know when you left, but in recent days we have had a cool tower update which brought in more bosses and a new set of armor/weapons after dl. We have the bounty system, which could be improved but still adds another aspect to the game at all levels. Fishing is a good way to waste time and accomplish nothing.

In the near future we will have mounts that you can use your weapons while riding and eventually an auction house. There is also talk of a new expansion, with new areas being added maybe next year or so. I say come back and hit the grind hard, pick a good clan and help them become a great clan. Maybe I'll see you ingame or on a beta some time
