Crumbling Locations

#1
I know it's useless for the most part, but I am trying to finish the Relics of Lir quest to get the bear pet. I have had some luck with the crumbling items and was wondering where everyone was fishing when they got their crumbling. I have gotten doubles of the crumbling sword, Effigy and urn. I fished the crumbling sword at the Pier beside Grizzly McAdams, the crumbling effigys at the beach beside Grizzly McAdams and the crumbling Urns at the beginning Spray pier. With only needing the Tablet and Crown, I am hoping to narrow some fishing spots.

I did not see this discussed elsewhere, and this post seemed to be the most appropriate to inquire on:

Since the update - do crumbling items for the bear quest come from sunken chests now, or are they fished as they were prior to the update. I understand the items for the next bear quest (aged items?) come from sunken chests; however, I was unsure about the nature of crumbling items.

Thanks in advance for the assistance.

The crumbling and Aged items for that matter are fished as they were prior to update. They don't come from chests. Speaking of sunken chests, tokens don't seem to come from these at all in my experience.

@ohxstatexio - Thank you for the information; I must have misunderstood something I read previously. I appreciate the clarification.

Crumbling Relics are Lir only.

Aged Relics - Shalemont

Tarnished Relics - Stonevale

Silver Marks are Stonevale only.

Silver marks seem to be very very rare, after farming to update fashion in stonevale, I received 10 tarnished, 37 bronze marks and 4 silver. There is no point in getting any more bronze, I already have the fashion sets that I can get and more than enough to get the other tiers if I could get silver marks. Perhaps tarnished relics are easier to get than silver marks? This doesn't make any sense, by the time I get enough silver to buy expert fashion tier, I should have enough tarnished and bronze to buy everyone tier one fashion and the level three bear drops.

I think the coding behind silver marks is like this: A% chance to receive a mark. When you manage to hit that A% chance, you enter a separate Random Number Generator. Out of that RNG you have B% chance to get a bronze mark, AND C% Chance to get a silver mark, with silver obviously being a value rarer than bronze. That value needs to be lowered. And i think if the system was changed to make separate drop tables of silver and bronze, silver would be a lot more common. It seems silly to make it rare to get a mark, and then make it rare^2 to get a silver mark. That's just my hypothesis seeing as the rarity of silver marks is through the roof.

Yes keep in mind, I caught over 6,000 tench, 3,000 beams, 2800 trout, 500 catfish, 67 king salmons, 47 giant catfish, 68 golden trout, 3000 chubs. 38 bronze, 4 silver, 13 tarnished relics. Rare would be an understatement. Now that I think about it some of the bronze may have been caught in another zone. They definately need to fix the silver token drop rate. Unless I fish nonstop from now till next year I may get enough to buy one color complete set in expert.

I'll try dedicating my fishing time in getting these crumbling artifacts in Lir and try to make a frequency table of what i got. It might not be that accurate, but its the most that i can get in my data. I'm just bored with my fishing account. Haven't got a mount token or plats yet in boxes though. I can't test the Fishing Level/Fishing Ability Level variable if it increases or decreases the drop rate though.
Oh look, a talking bear in the forums!
