On competitive servers you want the edge on lock battles. Giving DG to a warrior who will most likely not even make it to the main kg is not as good an investment for the clan had it gone to a rogue or ranger whom one would likely expect to see in KG. Similar to why one might only allow tanks to win Hp/ dex/ vit braces from proto. Sure it will increase the survivability of any class. Yet surviving not really the role of the non tankers, it is but actually just not to survive against a raid boss. Like wise with KG setups, sure twill help warrior dps, but perhaps not enough to put in main kg? Although I do hear rupture packs a punch.
Then agaun i see what you guys mean, why should a warrior then help at proto/gele if they aren't even going to get geared?

I wouldn't say the dps is bad, my first Prot and 215-6, I got the kill, and our dps classes are not weak. Rupture is pretty massive with 3000+ str.

Lock battles are few and far between on our server, and never on Gele.

Now I just need to convince a mage to go slash lure :-)

I think its very arrogant to judge someone's decision to gear a certain class (@friddo), and also I think its granted that the warrior DG is not only not weak at all, but also probably the biggest dps boost between all 5 sets. Since it doesnt matter how good the class is in dps, but how good the set is for DPS, if warrior gets the biggest dps boost hence the biggest benefit, why not?

If my clan decided to give a Doch set to a warrior I would probably leave as it's an insult to all the hastes I have used in lock battles to give such a needed dps boost to someone who is never in lock group.

Idk why y'all trippin, our server can't even kill gele so the most DG one person has is 1 piece, either boots or gloves.

Crim as a person who's in a complete competitive server where everything is a lock battle we even had some on gele since 2 clans are fully capable of killing gele. I know our clan nor the other will never get a full dg warrior only way this can happen here is if one clan dies and the other is solo and has geared at the least 8 rogues/rangers with dg. Sure it helps warriors but does it help on a lock battle where no mage is running slash lure.

It's not low to say warrior shouldn't get a dg piece/set. It's just facts when was the last time you were in a lock main group? I'm taking frids side since he is on my server and is End game and knows what it takes to be and win locks.

No it isn't an insult, warriors understand their class is for tanking and if they choose to play a different style than the one given to them they will understand they are not a top priority for such needed DPS gear on lock rogues and rangers.

You are underestimating the dmg a full dg warrior does with a void axe. I'm getting the majority of kills with or without lure, on EDL and non EDL fights. This is vs. dg rogues/rangers, spite etc.

If you refuse to entertain the idea of outfitting a warrior with dg, you have no idea of its capability in a lock battle.

I've been a main tank for 2 years and now we are heavy on tanks, so a switch was granted.
