Does ANYONE use the 100g remount guy?! You're making it sound like we HAVE to use a whistle to get our mounts back... I don't see what the 'major problem' with this system is. Don't want to buy whistles? Then don't. Get your mount back when you go to castle.

The "major problem" or at least one of them is that that mount provides a significant amount of stats, resists, a skill, etc... Its another piece of equipment. When your raiding are you going to call "time out!" I need to head to the castle real quick to revive my mount, brb. No way in hell you are. Your either going to suffer the loss of all mount benefits or your spending your hard earned cash on a damn mount whistle.

These battlemounts are almost doing the same as pets do: they arent really needed, but sure as hell help at raids. I dont think they will make a raid kill go from 10 minutes to 5, but they can help (due to the stuff they add) make things go easier and also help at lock battles when you compare a group with and without battle mounts, yes im talking about higher tier/level ones.

The fact someone said rescue and spring is a good skill confuses me spring had a good concept but st endgame your wasting energy because you revived someone with 1 hp left even if they resto a aoe will smack you back down. Rescue is just a dumb skill I feel. Teleport you out of combat? Not at all it moves you back a few feet and you keep aggro.

They need to add whistles to chests and bounty shops 2 plat per whistle is very unforgiving since only way to get them is buy buying them with only plat. The current death penalty is just fine if you think being max cursed is something you shrug off you for sure haven't been endgame at gele/Prot/unox with unforgivable aoes

What people dont realise is that:

-first you have to spend millions of gold or thousands of real life currency to get a maxed out mount.

-then you have to spend more plat everytime you die or wait an hour(going back to the mount npc in a raid or close before a raid is not an option)

So why would people even bother spending fortunes when you have to spend another small fortune to use your mount in raids

Yes you can choose not to use mount whistles, and you will probably still be able to kill the boss, but what was the point in the first place to get the mount when you can't even use your mount 90% of the time.

To get a mount is a already a huge plat sink. I don't understand why otm would want to make it even a a more consuming plat sink, since it obviously deters people to spend plat to get one of these mounts. I really hope this gets a complete overhaul.

That's funny, because I have a lvl 5 black wolf mount and I think the dismount system is fine. Would it be nice if whistles were added to chests and bounty boards? Definitely. Is the battlemount system completely screwed right now? No. Would removing the whole dismount system be a good idea? Definitely not.

Just wait, OTM already established they'd be releasing more RAF mounts in the future. So all the time progressing your current mount may be worthless if they come out with better for your playstyle.

When were you? Here in gwydion we have lock battles on all bosses, including gele and the main lock groups consist of rangers who make some of the best use of the mounts. It sure does help with str/dex boosts and for wolf it adds a Instacast skill which helps at locks. But with costs being well over 2mil for a good mount you won't see them yet.
