Did not see that, I guess it got discussed then canned, I wonder why? Muldar?
We are still looking to address the larger window on Gelebron, we simply have been busy with other focuses especially at the end of last year, we work to a tight schedule so things can be put on the back burner.

I'll discuss this issue further with Design shortly, last I remember it was something we were planning to address.

Also "OTMs logic is let's make the windows longer so people 'stumble' across those bosses." No. This has been explained in multiple threads, it is to provide equal opportunities to all clans.

Sorry you are incorrect. Larger clan can camp for days. small clans can't. A 10 minute window gives equal opportunity. Not the other way around. Anyone who actually camp end game bosses knows this.

Exactly so the longer the window the more likely a clan will 'stumble' across the boss instead of it being dominated. That's OTM's logic however the top clans will just camp for the whole window instead of giving a chance to other clans it makes it harder for them to win a lock as they can't log in as fast and efficiently since they might only have 8 geared DPS toons while a big top clan can have over 10 easily.

^^^Honestly as a member of one of those smaller clans, I can tell you that this isn't true. What happens a lot of times is that me/a few members from my clan are there exactly when the boss is due. However, about 1 or 2 minutes after the boss is exactly due, members of the other clans begin showing up in droves, and even if we could have killed the boss, it doesn't matter because now we can't outlock.

Well yeah we all have his quest so the X pops up when he spawns but in worlds like ours that now go for him on spawn it's still camping whether you stand at the leystone & watch for the X to show or if you'll stand on Gelebrons spawn so you see him physically, it's basically the same thing.

Nobodies asking for Proteus window to be shortened I was just saying Gelebrons not the only source to gain "Pureness".
From your example of Sreng & Snorri Sreng has a reasobnable rate of dropping crowns & Snorri has guaranteed drop it's just like Gelebron/Prot although none of them can drop 2 can they?

Oh I see what you mean now by spawn windows, that would make more sense.


What is this garunteed drop rate of crowns u speak about with snorri and sreng ive killed plenty ph 5s and 6s without a crown drop pro base rarely ever drops pureness gelebron is the only boss i know of where ur garunteed atleast one certain type of drop

You need to reread the post, that was never said.

The discussion is also irrelevant to Gelebron due to the fact he is the end game boss currently with few worlds battling for him.
