My only issue with the auction house is that there is absolutely no way to prevent (slightly dishonest) people from driving up prices by bidding on their own items using an alt.

I'd like the option to set an auto-bid feature up to a certain price. I'd happily deposit whatever my max bid for the item is rather than miss an item I want because it happened to expire durIng my non-play hours.
It is frustrating having to interrupt gameplay to fly back and re-bid. And often you just can't if camping.
