Okay, we have been preforming internal testing.

Using a timer is unreliable, if an opposing clan has pre-bashed Gelebron the timer for shield cast will be queued (Additional 5 seconds) not unblockable.

This will require you to bash after you have seen the message "Gelebron prepares his barrier!" which will have been adjusted from the original time.

It does not appear the pre-bash prevents you from blocking the shield, it simply requires you to adjust your timing or keep an eye out for the notification message.

We have killed Gelebron over 90 times and I can tell you this is not exactly accurate.

It is pretty much avoidable and if done right it is preventing people from killing a boss, that's not healthy competition.

How can a DKP system be easily abused? Someone needs to do a bit of research because those who put in the effort are awarded.

I can't speak first-hand about the griefing topic because I havent't been to many Gele kills. I feel I can at least speak to the character of Legendzzzzz and Clan A.

Legendzzz would never incite Clan A members to grief Clan B.
Further, he and Clan A would not do just about anything to win. I don't pretend to know anything about the inner workings of Clan B.
However, I do know that Clan A seeks to be fair and friendly, all while having fun. The discussion as to whether or not to grief came up a few weeks back, and many didn't like the idea because of the drama and ill-will it would surely spawn, but those in favor felt we were forced to do that in order to potentially strike a new deal with Clan B. No clan members were asked to participate; it was entirely voluntary.

There was a communication shared with the clan as to why it was being done and for what purpose. The feeling in Clan A was that Clan B had not held up their end of the original bargain, due to communication issues. This was not shared with Clan A members in a way that slandered clan B.

Anyway, I would say that the general sense in Clan A is that griefing sucks, and nobody wants to either participate in it or be the victims of it.

Personally, I think we should all get together at the tavern and talk about how to move forward in a peaceful, groovy way. Extended hug sessions could be involved.

If you say so Legends, you clearly have a very different definition to the word "dignity" you lost a clanny over that decision you geared this person in just 3 short weeks deeming their efforts greater than that of long term loyal members it's no wonder people leave you in droves & apply to us.

Perhaps your the one who should do some research "Flat Line DKP" as a distribution method is so antiquated it's widely accepted it's the easiest system to manipulate especially when there is no decay or anything regulating the system what can essentially happen which we've seen for ourselves in our own server is the circle who are relied on to get raid boss kills can go inactive for months with no penalty return months later to precisely the same points and standing as they had prior to their inactivity, not really fair nor dignified it essentially means anyone who is a new comer has absolutely no chance at getting anything half decent against those ridiculously high inflated numbers.
Your statement of those who put in the effort being awarded is not really true because of the low drop rate and the points continuing to rise with no regulation you'll always see the same few veteran people hoarding anything decent it's widely known this is fact for the outdated system your using.

Then gele spawned in favor of our time then what did you guys do? break the agreement! What do you think was gonna happen after that? The only difference is we show up in numbers but it only takes a few to mess up a raid which was proven by your clannies, we failed one time because of him.

I would say it's clear we don't see eye to eye currently, but as to whether we could come to an agreement, I would say anything is possible. Our intention wasn't to attack Clan B. It got into that some, and that's unfortunate and counterproductive.

There seems to be an honest disagreement as to how the first deal fell apart. Emotions and clan bias surely played a role in how things were interpreted.

I think both clans would largely agree that it would be in our best interest to hammer out a new agreement, and give it a trial of maybe 2 weeks. Then after 2 weeks clan leaders could discuss how it went, and bring up any grievances.

That's no difference Nick as you said nobody missed a beat & they've shown up in large numbers too doing everything they could.

Both sides are guilty neither side is a victim or faultless the bug is being looked at now extensively it seems so there is no reason to continue this pointless back & forth the community isn't so stupid as to read a one sided sob story and accept it as fact if that's the further aim here.

Your system is equally flawed, people who started your clan are the most active thus have the most priority over a new comers, many don't see this but they also have 0% chance at getting some of the best drops, right now if your clan kills mord and gets say a void moon helm your ranger will more than likely get it. Our dkp system is similar all things are bought and during locks are lent out as much of your clannies gear are.
