Great story man, stories like that can really inspire people to do the same and show them that money is not needed to progress in this game. I agree that new players should not come to this game thinking that its pay to win. Ranger sounds like a super fun class, may try it out myself to see how far I can get (with the help of my main of course lol).

One question, did you level solo the entire time or did you level with one or 2 other people?

I would say i leveled solo 75 to 80 perent, 5 to 10 percent with a druid buddy and 10 percent in other mixed groups. From 200 to 220 i was either with the druid friend doing aoe leveling explosive arrows or solo leveling using explosive arrows fighting 4 to 6 mobs at once. I have a post on the ranger forums where i talk about how fun and useful explosive arrows can be. Most people read it sucks and never try it, but it has its place

Interesting. What build did you run in terms of stats and skills for the majority of your play through? I think I saw that you used full dex at the earlier levels but did you end up switching it out in the later levels?

I tried a strength build around level 120 for a day and hated it. I have been full dex ever since. I like it for many reasons one of which is that i dont have to compete with ten dps rangers for the best EG ranger dos drops. Most dps rangers could care less about heal rings,heal bracers, dex vit defense items etc.

Alright 2 more questions lol. What were the main skills you use for leveling and what type of gear did you use or what kind of gear do you suggest for full dex rangers looking to solo level. I'm sorry, after reading this I all the sudden became interested in making a ranger lol.

It took you a while to even get to 90 from about 80.

Your heal was most definitly not 1k as I remember while I tanked the level 140 or 150 dragon from the last real event with UAC on my rogue, you healed me for maybe 600max. This was when you were about 70-80.

If I remember correctly, we got in a fight once because I told you to drop some dex for strength. Perfectly viable, but you turned around and got angry... because idk. being someone who's ranger gets kills on gwyd, I think I know what I'm talking about more than a wannabe druid.

And, not even close to the end as I have only read about half of your post, you ESCALATED the drama between apollo, dare, and I. This ultimately led to the downfall of forsaken.

You weren't around for it, but forsaken was an adaptation of fallensoldier, a very respectable clan by a very respectable man, jakecyr.

I think it is also extremely misleading to say you did this without spending money. Once you announced that you were opening chests. And that's not even considering that braves and res literally will give away free lixs to clannies.

And, just like everybody else in the clan that I know for a fact originally joined for gear, you act high and mighty because you're 221 with full edl.

Out of res can't even get to the top two floors unless they are ex res. Does res need the floor bosses they kill? Doubt it with how often they go down.

It really says something about your character when you started last year and already pretend like you are an eg veteran player.

Unless of course this is all a coverup? And you are vinyarus. As originally conspired by me, you did start game with lux soon after vinyarus, another UAC ranger who quit game after he scammed people, left game. He sold all of his rares. I actually Bought an effect white crow guise for like 2k. He did lots of fast trades like that. Add 2k, get a handful of rares. All that gold must have gone somewhere, hm?
I assume he would have ended up with about 300k with how cheap he sold for. Of course if he sold for expensive then bought lux his alt would have been given away.
Suffice to say, he would not have sold items then left. If he were to really leave, he would have given away. He would have no reason for the gold. Instead he sold items. Then surprise surprise, a "new" ranger with almost exactly the same build comes along and wants to join the same clan system he was in before.

Considering as to how you had a knowledge of things before 2016, and you originally told me you joined in spring 2015, you're a very shotty person.

Changed skills around a bit as i leveled to try different stuff, but i always had lightheal maxed. I mostly had sharpshot maxed ,but tried a few times to go the longshot and bolas route. I always liked the damage of longshot but hated the distance you had to be. Once my defense ,health and light heal was good enough to tank stuff my level and a few levels away i stuck with light heal, sharpshot,im sure i had points in bolas most of the time. Once i had enough points for those three and doubleshot up to the stuff i was fighting i added that as well.

I really didnt start using explosive arrows until 190 after i got alchemist, and a druid and i started to level together aoeing 6 to 8 mobs at a time.

I did not go back to longshot until i hit 220 i think. Now i run 50/50 lh,ss, 50/50 explosive arrow if i swap to a braclet, 45/50 longshot, doubleshot up to 220, bolas up to 220, and the rest into rapid

For gear anything that had dex on it. I got a couple of nice aggy bracers when i was in forsaken one had dex the other str i think. I always bought the quivers with Dex. Unfortunately my memory is not good enough to remember the exact gear i had. I was by no means a powerhouse ranger and i still am not. I was more concerned with being able to level without requiring a group and trying to kill things solo that typically others at the same level couldnt. Most other rangers out dpsed me then and they pretty much all out dps me now and im fine with that.

Not sure who you are but since thedare just invited me to forsaken one day in stonevalle and i did not submit an app maybe you have me mistaken with another ranger. I dont recall getting angry with anyone in the game, i certainly had nothing to do with the breakup of Forsaken. I was the very last person to leave Forsaken even after Sk8r . I told him i would stick with him and follow him where he went. If wanted to rebuild i would stay, if he joined a UAC clan i would stay. Yes i wanted to join braves and then res because the goal of an mmorpg is to get to the end game imo and they were doing end game content. I also wanted to join friends that had already moved there, hip, dare, appollo. I did not however put an app into braves until Sk8r left forsaken and put an app in.

Asfar as chests go i think i have opened two. One i saved up enough plat from doing free stuff to earn pp,the other i bought after i fished out 60plat while fishing. Unless i lost a year of my life i most certainly started in June of 2016. I dont know who vinyarnus is. Anything i know about the game before i started playing is becausei have read the forums and someof the websites that have alot of info on the history of the game and very detailed history on the arwan server.

I am not sure where you got from my post that i think i am high and mighty, but if that is what you took from this post so be it. As far as the facts they are as accurate as i remember them. I am sure he has better things to do but if muldur wants to look at my account and say how much plat has been bought, if i have any other characters on it over level 10 and if i have opened more than a few chests he is welcome to.

I dont have leveling any other class to compare to so i guess i enjoyed it for the most part since i kept going. I think for anyone leveling can become a grind so i would try to change zones and spots whenever i could. Later on after 170 i would do bounties while lixed, i would take a bounty go to that area finish the bounty then keep killing until the lix was out.

When i started to aoe with explosive arrows that made leveling more fun again and i continued to do that until i hit 215. Once i hit 215 i slowed down abit to 220, most of my experience came from max bounties each day, arena quest, and the occasional dailies, i would lix once in a while. 220 to 221 was 100 percent bounties with no lixes or dailies,and im now half way through 221. Also just on bounties.

As a fellow non-plat, it's nice to see others make it too. Though I made it endgame in a different time, the no plat grind is respectable in any year.
