I say +1 as my grillz the future wolf mount would love me not wasting extra plat for these items however he would love more if his creators have him back his balls and allowed to stay in the fight instead of making him flea, I don't blame him but his parents for making him a wimp.

However, I personally view the chests like lottery tickets. I open chests hoping for the jackpot, and instead of getting nothing when I lose, I get some random stuff.
In that way (for me anyway), if mount whistles are added to the chest loot table it means I have a chance at getting some of them when I scratch my lottery tickets.

Not sure if you are being sarcastic or not. However there are certainly not hundreds of thousands playing CH. whatever the nimber of people playing is a very small percentage would ever buy a mount whistle. I dont have real numbers but just as a for instance. Say the player base is 10,000. I think it woulfd be generous to say that 25% of the base has a battlemount. So now we have 2500 potential whistle buyers. Lets assume half of those dont buy plat at all. Now there are 1250 people who have a battle mount and buy pp. Now what percentage of those want to pay one pp every time they die vs going to the city and paying 100 gold. I dont kmow a single person who buys whistles so lets call it 10 percent. So 125 people who may buy whistles. Again totally made up numbers.

Clearly only otm knows if people are buying and using whistles. If they are then it will never change. If they are not then hopefuly otm will see that they may make more money by removing the biggest reason why most dont invest in mounts and remove that reason. That reason if its not clear is because whistles make battlemounts inconvenient for no reason

They should just remove whistles from the game and allow idols to res you and your mount. Battlemounts are great but they are not going to make a huge difference in a boss fight. When mine dies i finish what im doing then go to castle pay 100 gold and get him back. Its an inconvenience that is not needed. If otm looked at hiw many whistles were ever used i bet its a very small number. However if not for whistled a bet more people would get battlemounts, which means more mount tokens leaving the market which means more chests need to be opened to get more tokens into the market.

Maybe I just view chests differently than most people. But I don't see chests as a way to get misc plat items. Like Kril said, I open chests in order to get rare stuff, if I get random plat items like restos or idols or misc elixirs, I simply sell them. If I want to buy said random plat items, I simply buy them from chest openers who don't want them.

If you are opening chests with a goal of getting something specific (i.e. combos), then you are kinda wasting your money.

No, that's not how I like to shop. If I wanted to buy milk and eggs and essentials, I would go to a different store and buy from them.



Anyways, back to the topic. Yeah, sure. Add whistles to the chests. It wouldn't impact the drop rate of anything else (unless of course you are opening thousands of chests, then you might see a tiny difference). Plus, it would be nice for non plat buyers, since anyone who gets whistles they don't want will probably turn around and sell them right away. It's a bit of a pain having to go back to the castle between lives if my druid dces and lets me die while leveling.
