Re: Are the OTM devs aware of "locker toons"

Didn't know people can be forced in a game?
I have a lock toon I play it because I enjoy it and not because anyone is forcing me, I could do what I want really, can even quit, leave clan or change server, but I work for the people I love in a way that makes me comfortable, run lock toon also to make the clan stronger, I don't see any wrong in that, if you wanna compete the dominant clan then go ahead and struggle, but no one is forcing you to struggle, you choose to your own.
I find no point in this useless argument based on nothing that makes sense.
lol the fact that you have a locker toon means you had to make one. Why not use your 220 warrior to kill Snorri?
Go level your toon to 200+ then if you could do whatever you want with it. No? Need it to stay 190?

If my level 224 warrior could lock stuff then the game was gonna be more broke, because higher levels get better gear than lower levels, and they will need to deal the same amount of percent to lock it, and the higher levels will have the advantage then because better gear and more stat points means more damage.
I have no problem making a level 190 rogue for locks, because I see that locks are balanced and they do not need the be edited in any way.

I'm not sure what your point is. You are arguing that a game cannot forced people into playing a certain way. The fact that you had to make a locker toon already disproved your argument.

The damage increase from leveling needs to be greater than the % of damage increase needed to lock vs a lower level, giving lower levels an advantage when fighting things appropriately leveled, but not cause a win 100% of the time.

+1, Completely agree, the idea of a target lock isn't bad, it just needs to be tweaked a little bit.

Ofc you are not forced, you can say screw it and leave, but if you wanna win and make a lock toon then go ahead, but the idea of higher levels locking easier is not gonna be fair for lower levels with worse gear.

we dont deal with that stuff ln epona
seems like you got outlocked werent you ail? hehe
lol, it's funny you had to edit your post just make a dig at me. you don't have to try so hard. i'm sure you're happy with your participation trophies. good for you!

i have 2 locker toons myself, and many in our clan have 2-3 and we have outlocked and also have been outlocked in many bosses. That is the nature of competition, we win some, we lose some. That is not the point of this thread but to highlight the fact that locker toons are the by-product of the game design, and if the game is going to continue to revolve around players making a separate toon for each boss, then there should be changes done to make locker toons easier to equip Leveling new locker toons had already made easier with the new xp curve and repeatable quests.

It's also ridiculous that level 220+ rogues have to make 190 rogues just to be useful. Again, speaking from a non-Epona perspective.

High levels should not be battling lower levels if the game was designed properly.
